Mary made us feel so welcome and the lovely family atmosphere was great to witness in this fast paced world of ours today. Nothing was too much trouble to make our stay comfortable and the breakfast was brilliant. All in all a very enjoyable experience. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Langham to friends and family.
Access to parking was difficult in the dark and signposting could be clearer.
Room clean and comfortable,tv,tea and coffee facilities
Early morning noise starts approx 6.30
Comfortable room and bed Excellent breakfast
Little by way of dining options in neightbourhood
location was excellent close to bus stops, newsagents and takeaway..nice breakfast bacon rather salty.
broken panes of glass covered with plastic, filthy net curtains, problem opening window, as room was way to hot. over bed lights not working, hair dryer healthy & safety issue, shower tray leaked on to floor.boiler firing up through night, little sleep due to this and having to have window open. wardrobe door opens drawer at same time. Hotel needs complete refurb looks very tired
Can not fault anything about the langham hotel room was very nice very clean.staff very polite and helpful lovely breakfast would use this hotel again if we visit northampton again
Breakfast - super.
Route to Car Park - pot holes and puddles.
Mary+sons Michael and Robert, made us very welcome, and work very hard to make your stay comfortable.
The poor wifi, and maybe the bar could have stayed open an hour longer.
A great breakfast, nicely served in a pleasant room.
Rooms are dusty and bathroom grubby. It appears to have been neglected as it appears to have been a very good hotel in its day. The alley to the parking area is full of really deep potholes. All in all, taking into account the excellent breakfast it was value for money.
room was on top floor no lift windows were not shutting properly and the vents on the windows did not work shower head was dirty when I went into the dining area no one asked me if I wanted breakfast , in fact I was ignored
We had a four night stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly. The rooms were good and the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, setting us up well for the busy days ahead.
Lovely staff very helpful, breakfast was superb, comfortable bed well set out rooms, we could'nt ask for anything better, will definitely stay there again.
It could'nt be improved
For the money this place can't be any better, helpful staff, really nice breakfast with lots of choice..
I accidentally left my sweatshirt at the hotel. I phoned and spoke with an obnoxious woman and arranged to collect. I drove 30 miles only to be told the man could not leave reception to get my sweatshirt and left empty handed! I had to return another day and was finally given my sweatshirt. Appalling service steer clear!!!
Couldn't do enough for me ... And bang went the diet as far as the breakfast goes!
Friendly staff, excellent facilities and a fantastic breakfast.
The hotel was about half a mile from the town centre, and the car park was awkward.
The location of the hotel is excellent. The hotel was quite clean
The manager somewhat rude, at times. The first room I got was cold because there were small fissures on the windows, so outside air was coming right into the room... No ventilation in the bathroom--you had to keep the door of the bathroom open, otherwise there was this strange smell in it. English Breakfast only--bacon, eggs, beans and the like. No cheese, honey, fruit. The alternative was milk with cornflakes.
Welcoming staff Great breakfast Room was clean and comfortable Accessibility Website is very good
Suggestion Refurbish bathroom - shower and tiling only. (Rm 23)
staff friendliness and efficency
Location, Off road parking Staff very friendly Price Mega Breakfast
Rooms were ok for a short stay but the bathroom could do with a bit of a tidy-up
The breakfast was excellent More than I could manage The room and comfort were very good
The staff are great ... Very accommodating and friendly. And as for the breakfast, WOW!
WiFi connection, but even that was overcome as the staff gave me a wireless extender to use which was fine
The location was good, the room was good, the parking was secure, although the access road is rutted and puddled with mud. The next day my car looked it has been around a winter rally stage.
The staff were extraordinarily off- hand, I really felt the whole stay was an imposition to them. I think I got a last minute low price (it was the location I wanted), and the staff resented to price. In reality, they really shouldn't have sold it if they didn't want the custom. Perhaps it was just an isolated case. I don't know. I wouldn't stay again at half the price. Also, they put the bill though to my card on booking, which doesn't particularly bother me, but I didn't think they could do that?
Cheap with an en-suite, very good breakfast in the morning.
When I arrived it took two attempts to explain that I was just taking a single room and that I'd only be paying £35, and not the £45 she was determined to take. It didn't help that the card machine they had was faulty and I was directed to the nearest cash point (I use the term 'directed' loosely as I was just told "over the road and down the street" twice...there are a lot of streets over the road from the hotel). As I didn't want to take my bag on my little cash point hunt I asked if I could leave it in my room, instead she offered to keep an eye on it, this was achieved by her leaving it unattended in the reception, and then being unavailable to let me back in to the hotel...another guest had to do this for me. The saving grace of my stay was that the room was alright and the breakfast was perfect. Not sure I'd stay there again, but it was worth the money.
Biggist room,big breakfast.Quiet. Good carparking
Towel rail on floor, sharp edges in wall where the brackets were left exposed
