Stairs and lift
Bed was lovely and comfortable. Having a fridge in the room was very handy! Will definitely stay again.
Poached egg - underdone Bacon - overdone. Not crispy, just dry. Cheap sausage Omelette on the second morning was much better.
Lovely room and en suite.
The ambience in the entrance and dining room was not of the same standard.
The room was freshly decorated and comfortable.
The general state of the building was shabby and stale smelling. The dining room floor was being replaced. on the first morning we were served breakfast with half the floor ripped up. the second morning we were expected to eat with cement being broken up in the room and no proper floor. we asked to be moved to the bar, but it was a very unsatisfactory experience. The hotel should have closed while this was happening
Location on the sea front; fridge in room; generally high standard of facilities
prefer a bath to shower
Room was spacious, well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The ensuing shower room was a good size, nice toiletries and it was absolutely spotless. We were made very welcome on arrival and staff were pleasant and efficient at breakfast.
The lift was slow and a 2 person one. Glad we didn't need to use it much.
Smelly drains in one of the showers
Brilliant location. Clean, tasteful and well-cared for guest rooms.
Staff were very helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect and we had a lovely weekend at the lansdowne.
Balcony was dirty
Everything in your Hotel was good. Thank you
Staff friendly and helpful. Room really lovely and bed so comfy. Cafetière with ground coffe a nice touch as well as usual tea and coffee.
The noise from clubbers outside all night long!
Brilliant staff - always there if you needed anything but not intrusive- very clean - breakfast awesome amazing choice . Bed very comfortable - shower powerful
Very comfortable beds Amazing sea views Proper coffee machine in rooms Convenient location close to train station and old town. Friendly staff
Climbing three flights of stairs (to be fair, there was a lift - but it was in the other side of the building so we figured it was easier to take the stairs. The bathroom could be modernised a bit.
great location, easy parking, comfortable beds, lovely view.
Probably wouldn't stay in the bar or eat breakfast there.
Great location not far from main seafront arcades and crazy golf. The room had a nice sea view but could do with a bit of an upgrade a bit worn around the edges. One socket near the tv was starting to come away from the wall not good really. The room & hotel were a litte bit over priced. We were only staying one night so was ok for that. There was a musty smell downstairs which was a little of putting whilst eating breakfast but the choice at breakfast was good and the food was good. With some TLC this could be a little gem.
Musty smell in downstairs reception and breakfast room. Needs a little updating and a socket was starting to come away from the wall in bedroom which is dangerous.
Not a lot,
Surly staff, no warm welcome on arrival, dangerous lug sockets in room( came away from the wall!) no apology when I told of this on my departure.
Location good for our night out
Lack of parking and no help from hotel with parking voucher.
Everything was grt8! Had a short stop there as my son was taking exams. Nice warm staff very helpful and polite. Clean and tidy...would recommend and certainly stop again.
Good sea view. Nice sized room. Very good location to Hastings & attractions. staff very helpful.
Breakfast was basic , but still good value.
Beach front location + room with a sea view. Price was fair!
Being a little a fussy, maybe it could have been a bit cleaner! Although, it was not filthy. You pay for what you get.
The location was excellent. The sea view was amazing. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.
Not much to recommend it
The location is excellent, just a short walk along the front to the Old Town.
The bathroom needed a bit of attention - the light above the sink not working (and loose from the wall), no soap for the sink (but a liquid soap dispenser in the shower), the tap very loose. Also whilst the glass in the balcony door was good and clean, the other window was filthy - rather taking something away from the sea view!
