Very helpful and friendly staff on arrival.Room very clean with a great sea view. Comfy bed.Excellent value for money. Very nicely cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Parts of the Hotel are a little shabby, but our room had obviously been recently refurbished and was of a good standard.

The only thing going for this place is the price - it's cheap, but then so is the hotel. The place is scruffy and tacky.

The staff were both very pleasant & helpful The room had a super view, and I had been very kindly upgraded It was extremely convenient for my meeting venue (particularly good, as the weather was vile!) Despite being on the sea front and a busy road in a first floor room, it was very quiet - I could just hear the sea rolling on the shingle, which was nice to wake up to in the middle of the night And by an extraordinary coincidence, the hotel had taken over the one next door - so I was sleeping in a room that I had serviced as a 13 year old saturday chambermaid over 40 years ago! Horrible lumpy mattress! The balcony door had a very dodgy lock and could only be opened with extreme difficulty by the concierge (and not by me at all) - I think the fire inspectors would have something to say about that, since it was a first floor room and the balcony was thus a potential escape route for a panicking occupant in an emergency

Staff were very helpful and friendly, room was small but comfortable. Great ocean view. I would definitely go back. Shower door was tough to close and curtains were a little ragged. Breakfast times were too early for us.

The room was newly refurbished and was very comfortable especially the easy chairs and the bed. It was a spacious room with a sea view. The shower room was excellent too. The staff were friendly and attentive. The lift was very small and quite difficult for us both to fit in. The greasy smell at breakfast coming from the kitchen was off putting.

Friendly reception. Clean and very comfortable room. Piping hot water and adequately warmed room considering the wintry weather we experienced. Nice breakfast.

Our room was a box room, barely even apt for a single bed. No wardrobe, no dressing table and awful value for money considering we paid for the top room.

Arrived around 9pm and check in was speedy and a gentleman carried my luggage to a nice newly decorated double bedroom overlooking the sea. There was a fridge in the room, which had I been staying longer, would have been very useful, but I had to dash off after breakfast (delicious) the following morning. Thanks guys! Minor point, but there was no hair dryer in the room.

Location cannot be faulted, it's right on the sea front. My room was small but clean with a modern well equipped bathroom. The staff are friendly and helpful. For the price it's definitely value for money. I think it's advertised as four star, but it's certainly not four star!. I stayed in room 10 so room 11 is very close therefore if the door is not closed gently it will wake you up as it slams if left to it's own closing mechanism! My room could have done with a small chest of drawers. These are minor observations which did not really affect my enjoyment :)

Good location. Nice modern shower room. Dreadful sloping bed. Duvet didn't cover the bed and too thin, no extra blanket offered. Pillows old and lumpy. Curtains didn't cover the windows. Room furniture ancient and scruffy. Room freezing on arrival.

Great value for money. The room had been recently renovated and was large and comfortable. Large TV and good wifi. The breakfast was cooked personally and omellettes were available. The hotel is being renovated but the corridors still look old and gloomy like many seaside hotels.

The location was good and the room and bathroom were clean. Place was being renovated, so I am sure that the scaffold poles and boards on the stairs will be gone soon. No thrills hotel, ran out of toilet paper. Our room was one of the already renovated ones, so be careful which room you get.
