Owners and staff very friendly ,good service and great breakfast .good location for alton towers. Good pub nearby for a relaxing drink . Just a very very nice place.

Everything I expect from a good quality B&B. Room was clean, well equiped and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Good location for Alton Towers. Will definitely rebook next time.

Wireless internet signal was unobtainable in room even though there was a wireless modem outside the bedroom door.

Owner was very nice and accommodating. Arranged to get us breakfast early so we could get down to alton towers on time. Is extremely close to alton towers. About 5 minute drive.

We stayed here for alton towers and location is perfect. Literally ten minute drive. Although the decor is a little dated for my taste, we very quickly overlooked this as our room was immaculate and the bathroom was really clean too. Service was excellen, couple that run this place are really friendly and accommodating.

Staff were really friendly, breakfast was superb. Very close to Alton Towers, within close walking distance to local pubs for dinner and a drink in the evening.

The bed was a bit creaky.

The room where we ate breakfast is terrible, lacks interest, nothing to look at, bare. uncomfortable chairs. Get some nice chairs, tablecloths bird feeders near the window to look along with flowers in pots. Breakfast - no offer of fruit, yogurt can't remember on porriage. In bedroom itself - kettle needs longer lead and not enough teabags etc or even a choice of teabags - for the money in that room very poor. Partner couldn't even walk straight, far to small a room with a 4 poster bed, couldn't get his shoulders past post and wall.

The whole experience and stay in the laurels was perfect. Staff are very friendly, breakfast was delicious and the room was very nice. The fact you was given a key and could come back at what ever time was very good.

Double bed was very firm and we have a firm bed at home! Shower was adequate.

Small double bed (we are used to a King so it was hard to sleep in a smaller bed), the shower wasn't very good (ran hot and cold and not very powerful), heating not easy to control.

Beautifull guest house,best breakfast we have ever had in a guest house we do stay in a lot of places,2 mins drive from alton towers which was ideal,2 mins walk to local pub with lovely food.will most definately be going again.all in all a lovely warm welcoming stay.

I thought that the welcome we had was amazing and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was lovely. On our second day there we came back to our room to find the beds had been made and we had a little chocolate easter bunny on our pillows!

I didn't like that the double bed was two single mattresses put together on a double bed frame.

The hosts were charming and friendly, but not overbearing, the rooms were clean the bed was incredibly comfy, the best nights sleep was had! The room was very very small but it did not matter at all, it actually added to the country charm Dinner was a very fair price and delicious, we were both full up. There are things to do a cosy lounge, a pool table a very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and cooked to perfection.

Very tiny bedroom Very dated decor - faded curtains, tatty cushions - Needs major refurb (public areas and bedroom) Poor standard of cleanliness - Excessive cobwebs and grubby feel to the room Poorly maintained equipment - Kettle (PAT Test 6 months out of date), Extractor Fan (faulty), Lamp Owners appeared to have no enthusiasm for their guests (Not asked if we had a nice stay or thanked etc.)

The fact that we could buy a meal without having to go out in the rain! proximity to Alton towers.

The directions, it's not easy to find in the dark! The shower was cold.

The only problem was that when the postcode was entered into the sat nav it took you right coming out of Alton Towers and takes you about 2 mile up the road to where you reach your destination. A derelict farm. From here I rang The Laurels, which the man knew where I was and redirected me from the farm which takes you back past Alton towers around 4 miles (so take a left when your on your way out of Alton Towers instead of right) The entrance of The Laurels isn't revieling and we drove past it before realising that that was it. Could do with some kind of lights outside. This was all in the dark so things may have been different in day light.

Food was v.nice house was v.big friendly staff will go there again

I liked the 4 poster bed in room 8. Water was hot for the shower. My fiancé enjoyed the breakfast! There's a bar and a pool table which was nice.

Needs more tea/coffee facilities in the room.
