Where to start? Shared bathroom, not private. Unable to use advertised credit card No hot water in sink in room or bathroom Dried chewing gum stuck to the carpet in room Very poor breakfast - toast OK

It was an Inn years ago, it's just a b & b now. We were let in by a young man who I took to be the son of the owner. He seems a bit unsure of whether to let us in at first. He then asked us to pay without showing us the room. He was the first and last person we saw, apart from guests. Breakfast was the make it yourself type, cereal, toast, cheese and ham. The bed was comfortable and the room a good size. We were glad we were only there one night.

Not seeing any members of staff, the central heating on full when it was a hot night and it was a bit grubby. I would not like to recommend it , but I have stayed in worse, unfortunately.

We found the Laurel's Inn a nice and comfortable to stay in,a good price quite during the nite a nice selection for breakfast.

I can't think of anything and would book again.

Nice, quiet place and cozy rooms, kind staff. Good price for that kind of accomodation.

Breakfast was very basic. Cheese slices in wrappers. Thin slices of cheap ham. No attendance by staff at the breakfast tables. I would not use this place again

Nothing, There was know staff about if you needed anything. Know Lock on the door and it was dirty, I would not Recommened this hotel toanyone, they would not thank me for this. I know I would rather sleep in the car. Very Poor indeed. I have nothing good to say about this Hotel.

As I said above the Laurels Inn was rubbish. Nothing more to say.

We had a great stay here. It was a very clean comfortable room and breakfast was wonderful in the morning. Great price especially as it included breakfast. Would defiantly stay again.

Not easy to find from Stanstead airport

Tala the young lady who ran the guest house was so freindly and helpfull ,it more than made up for the poor qualty of the room,s . I feel she need,s help and some backing with the place,as it is a very nice little town in which to stay. We met some very nice locale people and fellow guest,s at the Laurels and would stay again with a little enprovement made on the place.

Bed,s were very comfortable and clean, but the on suit,s were in very poor condition.

The advert does not make it clear, that the breakfast is only continental. There was no member of staff on hand to explain that it was self service toast and cereals. The hotel was good value at £55 per night double. It was en-suite and clean, and situated in a nice residential road. There were 3 good pubs serving food, within 10 minute walk.

It was ok, but don't think I would spend more than one night.

Good price and the room was clean and coumfortable

It's hard to find because it only has a little sign on thw outside! The telly wasn't working, I couldn't close my window and so the room was very cold and also the lock in my door wasn't working so I didn't feel very safe when sleeping or to leave my belongings when I had to go out! There was also no hot breakfast

Bed was comfortable, and near Stansted airport with a gas station, grocer, and resturants.

Not a friendly staff, just not welcoming, the shower was took small, the shower head was broken, and tv didn't work.

The staff were clearly drunk. They put me in a bedroom that already had someone else's things in there .... then they were really loud during the night, after i had stated that i was leaving the hotel at 5:30am... They offered a taxi service, however failed to wake up in the morning and take me so i had to hunt around for a taxi number behind the unmaned reception desk and order one myself....... disgusting behaviour and totally unacceptable. should not be allowed to run a hotel...

Convenient location. Bit basic but everything was clean and for the price one doesn't expect de luxe!

friendly staff

Very good welcome from staff. Looked after me well. Room was basic,but for the price you cannot complain. Bed was so comfy. Shower room was good and clean. For the price you had everything you needed and very close to airport. Parking included although limited but good. Breakfast was continental, but was good. Overall I had a great stay.

The location was great, and it was a nice quiet area. Apart from the low price there wasn't much else to like

The whole place needed the services of a handyman as almost everything was either broken, unserviceable or blocked. Analogue tv's are also pretty useless when the area has gone digital.

I required an inexpensive room and this The Laurels provided.

I stayed in Room 1 and the door could not be locked from the inside.

Close to the train station and airport

The room was dirty, with dirty bedding, bathroom hadn't been cleaned, there was poo left in the toilet, damp on the wall, the staff member was very abbrupt. All I can say about this place is stay away!!!!!!!!
