The staff were so helpful, the pick- up at the airport fast. It is less than a 5 min walk into Horley where there is everything you need. I only stayed the one night on a special rate.

Great B+B, very user friendly and everything worked. Perfect for Gatwick and the rail and flight connections. Owners extremely helpfull.

The host was excellent, very helpful and informative. The location was excellent - close to the train station to get me to Gatwick, nice quiet area, close to walk to restaurants.

The welcome was warm and thorough and the member of staff greeted us by name. The room was clean , comfortable and extremely well decorated. We has stayed before and it is clear that improvement is ongoing; the owners are not complacent.

Seemed to be a "one-man" show and not sure of the hygiene aspect. Noticed one guest returned some cutlery and breakfast appeared to be a rushed affair. Bathroom facilities were very cramped.

small breakfast. More fresh fruits would have been good. The cleaner did not lock the door of our room which made it difficult to trust to leave our belongings there when we were away.

The room was cold no central heating. We have stayed there years ago and all the toiletries were previously made available this time you had to purchase "normal bathroom commodities" eg showercap????.

Having to move on

Friendly efficient service Excellent pricing for the quality of service Horley is a nice village to come back to each evening, after a busy day in town, with its good eating houses Very convenient being a short distance from the railway station.

Good bed - free shuttle bus to the airport - they where accommodating enough to switch me to a room with a double bed with tub.

It was a cold day and they made me wait outside for more than 2 minutes when I rang a bell. Hot water did not work properly. The toilet was not flushing. The bathtub was not clean. The owner was rude to me when I ask for assistance. Etc...

- convenient because of several restaurants within 200m distance - WiFi around reception is good

- sometimes WiFi network does not work - not for sightseeing to London city because it takes one hour to go to London city - bed making was good, but room cleaning is not good. - the staff attitude after breakfast time is clerical even though we are still eating. (the light was shut down even though still eating)

It's cheap and cheerful and handy for Gatwick airport. Wifi works well, and although dated the rooms are adequate for an overnight stay

Despite advertising on here and even on their own website that "An English breakfast is included in the price", it's not and they had the audacity to try and tell me I was wrong. I'd have been happy to pay had they not claimed it was included. Reported to trading standards for false advertising. Shame

Host was helpful. Plenty of parking, and included in the room rate as was internet access.

Light above sink did not work, shower gel dispenser in shower empty and no soap available at all. Only instant coffee with breakfast, would have preferred ground coffee. Mismatching carpet, curtains, bedspread and wallpaper frieze made the room look very dated. Whole property is a little tired.

Staff was very nice and friendly, they even drove me to the airport in the morning. The room was very cosy and beautiful, as well as clean. It was very quiet and I slept well.

Easy access to London re train.

Horley convenient stayed before at a different hotel and thought this time would be a change. What a mistake.First day reported wash basin blockage and bedside lamp not working second day left early for London got back very late evening reported maintenance not done and room or bed not done. Next am went to breakfast at 9am room locked no breakfast so went off for full day on return room basically cleaned but bed not made properly and bill ready and waiting for payment . Left very early next am so no breakfast. Only had 1 breakfast out of 3 not once did anyone ask was everything ok . It is suppose to be 4 star? But it is the worse place I have ever stayed at.

It was close to Gatwick and an easy walk to the train into London.

The hotel was a beautiful small house run by a pleasant family. The room was large, clean and comfortable - way above the expectations we had at this price. The breakfast was of surprising high value, with a traditional bacon/eggs the way you want it prepared. We got a ride to the airport at the time we wanted, which was the purpose of our trip. All in all I cannot reccommend this hotel enough for this purpose.

attention to detail, nice little touches in the room. Great breakfast served by really happy professional lady, makes a change! Good for being near the airport and Horley shops. Lots of information in the rooms. Definately worth the money.

I though overall the place is great, furnishings and shower room a little tired but the general running of the hotel makes up for the shortfalls!
