Lovely receptionist/cum breakfast waitress/cum everything. The only member of staff around - but she was fantastic - friendly, helpful and so welcoming. Room in the attic excellent for us and our 2 dogs! Excellent location - right next to Prospect Park so ideal for dog walking. Plenty of parking. TV a bit old and primitive! but a minor matter.

the receptionist/dogs body was absolutely brilliant and very friendly and efficient. Clean, simple and easy to get to from the motorway. I think that their tv facilities could have been better and they could upgrade to at least freeview channels.

The room was clean and well decorated. No plug in the basin. The mattress was too hard. Only 1 towel for 2 of us. Not enough pillows. No refreshment facilities within the hotel itself.

The lady on the reception was very helpfull 1st room I was in the shower thermostat did not work, then moved into another room where the shower fell on top of me, cupboard doors where falling off, holes in the walls, a dog was outside and would not start barking, 3rd room was ok but the bathroom floor hasn't been layed right and tiles where moving causing me to get a cut on my foot, shower door has not been fixed to the wall level so there was a inch gap at the bottom causing the water to leak out to floor, shower pressure was very bad, due to me getting the room in the day I didn't realise till I came back in the evening that all the lights didn't work only one over the bed did, and also I was getting slight electric shocks from the light switches that's telling me they have not been earthed right, the hotel smelt of smoke and as a non smoker put me right off

The staff at reception was helpful. When I found there was no hair dryer in my room, I went talk to the reception. The lady kindly found one for me from an empty room. The hotel is budget-friendly, and it has a lot of parking space. The room was clean during my stay. As I was there for business, I didn't expect too much from what I paid for. The bed was okay. The light of the room is very dim, which was suitable for sleeping but not for people who need to work on their laptops or read. One of the bedside lamp is broken so I ended up having one bedside lamp which also got dim light. I could bearly see my laptop keyboard while trying to do some work in the room. The kettle was not clean at all - it is full of limescale. No matter how many times I rinsed it, the limescale was still there.

The new manageress was very attentive and helpful. We were phoned to check on our arrival time, and promptly phoned after our departure to inform us of an item we had left. She was very enthusiastic about improving the hotel after a long period of neglect and everywhere had recently been painted. The area around the hotel building was somewhat neglected and scruffy but the manageress had ideas on what should be done.
