+ location + breakfast (any choice from menu in addition to continental breakfast)

if you don't like old quirky buildings and design, then don't go for the lazy cow. The bathroom was very basic. The beds were ok for one night but not very comfortable

    Location, ideal for walking Salisbury.

Lack of affordable parking. Room could do with a little more tlc.

I really enjoyed my stay but the hotel desperately needs some upkeep especially in the bathrooms. They do look quite run down which is not what you expect for the money.

There was several patches of bad damp on the ceiling. This was not pleasant. Also the tea and coffee etc was not stocked up in either of our rooms.

The staff were great - friendly and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful!

The shower was a bit off but didn't take away from our overall enjoyment of our stay.

Quirkey decor Clenliness Great live music Comfortable rooms Very friendly staff 2 mins walk to city centre/pubs/restaurants/bus trips

Old building so stairs very uneven but this isnt a critisism just an observation incase people arent steady on feet. Ask for a lower floor.

The uniqueness of the room. It was well thought out and the bedding, linen, bathroom was clean. The breakfast was fantastic and so was the atmosphere. We would return to this hotel.

The coffee maker didn't work, no normal tea, tea pot was grubby, the toilet seat was loose, there was lots of dust at the edges of the carpet and the shower wasn't very powerful.

Modern room while still keeping the atmosphere. Very nice with a Nespresso machine in the room! Great location in the center of town near to the Cathederal. Decent breakfast(we only had what was included) Restaurant had rather nice Steaks and burgers.

As we were travelling with two children we would expect water and glases for all of us not just for two (as there was water provided) Somewhat expensive parking via the next door hotel.

    Boobs

Dirty, lots of broken lights, pigeons laying eggs in the courtyard, unhelpful staff, bathroom fan and lights inoperable and no effort made to fix over the two days we stayed there.

The young staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Lovely old building with a funky feel!

Broken and dirty toilet seat in our en suite, broken blind in our en suite, mouldy shower curtain, mouldy tiling in shower, rusty shower curtain rail, dimmer switch in our room didn't work

Loved the decor and the consistent theme used throughout. High ceilings were great as was the view out the window.

Piping bit noisy at times but you can expect that in such an old building I guess.

Location was very good. Decor is unique. Nice breakfast.

We booked the family room. Very hot weather during our stay, and the windows in one of the rooms cannot be opened, so it was extremely hot. Water pressure of the shower was low, not the best shower I have had. The beds are also extremely uncomfortable.

    Looked nice from outside

After booking 2 nights a week in advance and having the booking confirmed, we arrived to be told that they had no room for us and we'd be staying at the White Hart Hotel next door for one night and then back to the Lazy Cow for the next night. Very unhappily we trudged next door to be greeted by professional, enthusiastic staff who were only to happy to help. Needless to say we stayed both nights at the White Hart and were very satisfied.

Location, kids liked the large TV. Breakfast good

Dark room with more than half the lights not working so couldn't read before bed; on main road with old windows that couldn't close; room had not been cleaned for some time (cups and teapot, layers of dust, as well as rubbish and a sock by bedside table)

nice hotel - nice rooms - very good location

    1) As we travel with 2 children we prefer a family room or 2 rooms next to each other. Although we had booked the family room, they gave us 2 seperate rooms situated each at the opposite of the building. 2) service rather slow (dinner and breakfast)
