Ideally located in the heart of central Warwick, The Rose and Crown is a former coaching inn, providing comfortable accommodations and excellent food in a vibrant atmosphere.
Score from 357 reviews Excellent
Location; the hotel is in the centre of Warwick which is very convenient if you have to be there. Cooked breakfast is OK but one should not get tea from a hot water out of a thermosflask.
The rooms were small, smelly, dark en not clean. The walls are paperthin. The beds are very very small and not of a up to standard quality. The restaurant is expensive and a complete diasppointment: the steaks which should be great, are chewy and not special at all.
Comfortable room, free wifi, amazing food
Lack of parking on site
The breakfast was good and the attach restaurant is excellent for the quality of meat and good dishes.
I cannot find anything negative about the place. We stayed for only two days and was enough to see the town, the castle and ate in a wonderful italian restaurant one night.
Location, character, the rooms, food
Price for one night was high however this was where the rest of the party was staying
location hotel bar breakfast
single room not cool
pleasant, friendly staff, offered options on places to visit, couldn't do enough for us. food excellent, rooms quirky but clean and bedding changed every day. very relaxing stay.
few repair issues reported but not done during our stay, wobbly toilet seat, loose handle on shower cubicle. phone in room did not work at all.
Lumpy bed, no hot water in evening, noisy neighbours with thin walls and bin collection at 5am
Perfect setting for what was looking for, it completed an impotant event
rooms require better heating/ventilation
Noise Lack of sleep Too hot/no air con and fan provided was no adequate Very little natural light in room so it was incredibly gloomy
The staff were friendly. The room had air con which was very welcome as the weather was extremely hot.
The TV had no signal and the coffee machine in the room was also not working.
Modern rooms fantastic food.
nice touches like the robes and quality of tea & coffee in room. Great shower. Didn't have time for the breakfast but the restaurant looked inviting
Room 2 has very little natural light and the small window faces a wall. You could hear the room above and next door. No parking on site
it was quirky. a real modern gastro pub. the towels were really white and soft as were the bedding sheets. all the staff were so friendly and the restraunt was really excellant. it was five minutes from the castle and st marys church. we stayed one night but we will be back!
paying for parking down the road.
Comfortable environment. Friendly staff. Great atmospheare . Staff made an ordering mistake but very quick to rectify orders And send apologies. We'll mannered and dressed appropriate to the clientele.
None air conditioned hallways in hotel itself made very hard wrork for partner with bad feet to climb stairwells on a 28 degree day.. And hallway lights blowen. Easy fix but made finding the keyhole of room 15 quite hard with no lights. Otherwise very good. Hate for there to be a bad point with such friendly staff and happy guests.
Liked the location and the staff. The food was excellent
No air conditioning and the room was very hot
The location was great
The fact that the shower didn't work, the room was very dark, noisy, the sink tap turned its self on! We made a complaint to to hotel but was never contacted to discuss the issues.
Great little place in the heart of Warwick and within easy reach of a lot of restaurants. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The room with Sky was great
Lovely concept. Trendy feel
My room was right next to the reception with paper thin walls. I could hear every booking being taken! Somewhat overpriced for what is effectively a pub with rooms
The room was excellent - it had everything I needed and was really well presented. I particularly appreciated the iPod dock by the bed as I'd left my phone charger at home! The coffee maker was a nice change to the usual hotel kettle too. The breakfast was delicious - the best I've had at a hotel for a very long time...and I have lots of hotel breakfasts!
There was a TV on ALL night in the room behind me on so loud I could hear every word. Thankfully I had some ear plugs with me because if I hadn't I wouldn't have got a wink of sleep.
Lovely hotel, and very querkie. Rooms were nice and food was nice. Location good in the middle of town. I'll be going back for sure.
Quite a lot of noise from other guests at night.
Staff were so welcoming, helpful, and always wore a smile. Rooms were quirky and very comfortable. 5* service.
Drink prices in the bar a little pricey....but the service and cheerfulness of the bar staff made up for this. Parking was a little confusing
Food very good
Not much hot water
Everything. The rooms were large, comfortable and clean. The shower was the best shower we've ever used! Cannot fault the service or the rooms. The food was lovely, the restaurant and bar area really cool and we had a great time.
Well maintained and run establishment.
Difficult to get ventilation through the room. A small fan would be a nice added touch for the summer.
