Received a very warm welcome from Cliff, the owner. Our room #4, was well decorated with a compact en-suite and comfortable. Although, the Leicester is only Bed and Breakfast, the breakfast certainly sets you up for the day. Cliff was full of information about the local area and very knowledgeable about the local restaurants. Easy walking distance to the Lord Street area. Had a very pleasant stay and would not hesitate to choose the Leicester again.
Limited parking - although we never had a problem getting a space, if the Leicester was full you could experience difficulties.
clean modern hotel, welcoming hosts good size room ,large bed good bathroom.
tv went down when we arrived and did not work all our stay, didn't spoil the weekend though.
The hospitality of the proprietors was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, in fact the purchase of a certain bottle of alcohol for my own personal requirement was an excellent touch. The cleanliness of the rooms and the little touches that one might forget in a panic packing situation dotted around the room and bathroom were a pleasant surprise. Funny how a small place can look after the individual client and the larger hotels forget what it's really all about. Thanks for everything. It will be a return visit to The Leicester on the next jaunt into the sea-side town where the sea always seems to be out.
Breakfast before 09:00 with a hangover (next time we will remain sober the night before - ha ha)
Modern Decor Attention to detail Spotlessly clean Welcoming and friendly Location
Very helpful/caring and friendly. carried cases to the room, well stocked coffee/tea/biscuits/water etc in room, v.good choice of cooked/continental breakfast, parking on site, lots of information/leaflets of where to go and places to visit, they recommend nice places to eat out, nicely decorated and very clean throughout, any wishes/requirements during stay were met and requests for stock in the welcoming bar area were also met and noted for future visits. The list of positives are extensive and are a true reflection of the great B+B.
There is nothing I would change
Within 10 minutes walking distance of shops resurants and pubs being here the same weekend the last 3/4 years just feels like a second home
Cleanliness Friendly but not intrusive staff Focus on customer satisfaction

Nothing was too much trouble. It was extremely hot when we arrived but cliff had already put a fan in the room, which was brilliant. Very very friendly. Would go again.
Having to go home.
Nothing was too much trouble our stay was made more enjoyable by the attentiveness of all the staff
Nothing to doslike
Lovely staff, Cliff very welcoming, room was cosy, clean and liked the touch of bottles of water, especially in this hot weather! Superb breakfast, nothing to much trouble. For us it was an excellent location. A great place to stay and we shall use again and recomment to our family and friends.
From the warm welcome to the great breakfasts the Leicester was an ideal place for my 5 day stay in Southport. My room was of 5 star level on par with any up market hotel and along with its great location it was a delight to stay here.
Lovely rooms, great hospitality
Small hotel,very clean,helpful staff,good facilities.
We had a great stay at the Leicester. Cliff was a great host and gave us some great tips. The hotel is lovely and our room was fabulous. If you are looking to play golf at some of the best courses in the world cliff can help set it up. The place to stay in Southport.
Very warm and friendly. The hotel had just been bought by the present owners, Cliff and Jayne, and they could not have tried harder to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. For golfers, Cliff is an ex professional and therefore knows all the courses and contacts around the area. The hotel is well equipped and has comfortable rooms together with a very good breakfast, continental or a full fry up!
Not much - we came during a very hot period and the rooms remained pretty warm in the evening.
the room was excellent and had everything in it that you would require, the cleanliness of the whole place was above and beyond expectation, the staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble, would definitely stay there again.
