Stopped on the 28th feb lovely four poster bed amazing views very nice staff will be returning
Excellent location for a wedding which we attended at Curradine Barns. Friendly staff, great service and lovely home cooked food.
Wifi signal was rubbish
Having a chat to the owners and my son even had a game of pool with them.
Was expensive for what it was but was ok as was attending a venue around the corner. Also had to pay extra just to check in a little earlier
Views and location
Family room with separate kids twin Shower was lovely Staff very friendly and helpful Nice breakfasts Patio onto river - beautiful
Bed was a bit softer than I prefer Was noisy when people moving in room above
Attentive staff. Food was very good and good choice on menu. We were well looked after from moment we walked in. Lovely views over river and countryside from our room.
The bathroom was very tired - and shower was only a trickle - but that was our only negative experience.
Staff very friendly Nd helpful
Mattress in bed need renewing the as like sleeping on the floor. Shower didn't work
Location , its right on the river severn . Large room with four poster ( room 4 ) . Good selection of beers . Plenty of character.
Its quite far from worcester . Not a problem if your driving but we were using public transport so the location makes it difficult ( a bus every 2 hrs , daytime only ) taxi is about £15-£20 . Thats not the hotels fault tho . No wi-fi in room .
Size of the room and view from balcony. Staff were lovely.
Bathroom and shower need upgrading but understand it's not cheap to do!
Nice, comfortable room with beautiful views. Friendly staff
Window sill in children's annex had not been cleaned and had lots of dust and dirt on it, not great for a child with asthma TV did not work
Breakfast was excellent - best part of our stay. Location was excellent.
Dingy and shabby. Pink bathroom suite. Bath panel hanging off. Toilet seat broke. Toilet took a long time to fill up. Shower pressure useless. Mirror door on wardrobe falling off. Heaters didn't work. Wi-Fi didn't work. Clock radio didn't work. No BBC channels on TV. Dead flies on carpet were still there 2 days later. Owner blamed guests for not reporting faults. Large bed in room spoiled ambience of four-poster. Badly needs makeover and update.
Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. Would definately visit again
Staff helpful and polite
atmosphere was very pleasant.food excellent.
would have preferred a quilt
Wonderful river views Helpful friendly staff Simple pub fare Excellent breakfast Good value
Matress a bit lumpy but I still slept reasonably. Decor a bit tired but everything works.
Location was nice, right by the river with a lovely view from our room. The room itself was clean, spacious and reasonably comfortable and the staff were welcoming. Breakfast was of a good standard with prompt service. We were only staying one night so the negatives mentioned elsewhere didn't have a massive impact on our stay. However, if we had been staying for longer the positives wouldn't have been enough to cancel out the negatives.
The room decor was very outdated and quite tired looking. We were also surprised to see some small holes in the bathroom floor that looked like they were through to the void below the floor itself. Generally it looked like not a lot had been done recently by way of maintenance. There was no wi-fi signal at all in the bedroom and even in the main area where breakfast is served it dropped in and out so we didn't even bother trying to connect. To be honest we had been to this hotel about 15 years ago and been happy with the quality then but were a bit disappointed this time round.
Location, staff helpfulness. Bedroom balcony & view
Smell of cooking in dining room. Average quality food.
The location is excellent, being adjacent to the River Severn gives guests ample opportunity to enjoy the locality. My wife left a ring in our room and when she rang up the staff could not have been more helpful and returned the ring by post within a couple of days.
The rooms and some areas of the hotel are tired, however, Ian and the staff are trying hard to make changes where they can. As is the case in most tenant hotels, the owners are, I suspect, unwilling to invest in the aesthetics or modifications and the business has to fund any renovations. This is a pity as it is potentially a hotel that could demand a far higher tariff; with a little TLC and a good designer, I could see this as a 'Gucci boutique' hotel!
Views Very quiet Friendly helpful staff
Very relaxed atmosphere. Owners and staff very friendly. Fantastic location. No telephone signal, although WIFI an option. Don't expect and hadn't planned for a communication free weekend - but actually it was great not to have it for a while!
Lack of sound proofing between rooms a major issue. No power or extractor fan in shower for the upstairs bedroom. Decor very dated. Need duvets - blankets not really an option anymore.
Superb position by the river
Sadly, the bedroom (particularly ensuite) had a musty smell to it :( - but great views!
Had a lovely room with a terrace and a bench which was only metres from the river. Plenty of outside seat in all with spectacular views. Evening meal was very good, as was full English in the morning. Would definitely go back again.
Only one little moan. Couldn't get WiFi in bedroom and also problem connecting in main building.
Beautiful riverside location.Large room with balcony overlooking the river. Warm welcome from the owner.
