Superb, outstanding staff. Clean, comfortable room with a huge bed and another separate living area with its own sofa bed. Large en-suite bathroom. Hotel location is very quiet, yet very convenient (less than 5 minute walk) to Marble Arch tube station (get the all day tickets), so you can get anywhere in London very quickly for sightseeing, eating and shopping. Would stay at The Leonard again. It's far from Heathrow airport, so expect to pay 45-55 pounds, prearranged. It's worth it because the the tube or bus will be impractical.

We were happy with upgrade as we had our son with us, this gave us the space and privacy needed. Previously, breakfast was cooked to order and was excellent. Mouse trap under four poster bed?! Hotel in need of refurbishment.

Ideal location, 2 minutes walk to Oxford Street and tube/bus. Very efficient and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast menu choices. First impressions on entering the hotel lobby were that it was a bit worn. The dining room was closed for refurbishment but this did not affect service and tables were set up for breakfast in the lobby area. The very small lift goes only to the 4th floor, we were allocated a loft style room on the 5th floor, accessed by a winding staircase - ok for us but not for anyone with infirmities.

Pleasant, quiet hotel and n a good location within yards of marble arch, oxford street and hyde park. Old fashioned decor is pleasant and a change from chrome, glass and minimalist hotels. The bar was a quiet venue in evening to meet friends.the air conditioning worked and this was a factor in my decision to stay in this hotel.

Nothing - the worst Hotel I have stayed in for 20 years Room was small, dirty, dark and badly furnished and decorated. The room was however very expensive for something the size of a broom cupboard.

Friendly staff, a very comfortable room (I was upgraded from deluxe double to a suite), very convenient in a quiet street just north of Oxford Street, and a smaller hotel so you didn't feel that you were just part of a production line.

While this hotel isn't a real luxury establishment, it has a good attitude. Accessories in the room are more than one might expect. Breakfast is generous. In fact 'generosity of thought' could be the hotel's defining phrase. The location is perfect for accessing London attractions. It's not the cheapest by any means, but I think I'll stay there again. The room should have had a bit more drawer space - perhaps substituting a 2-3 drawer table for the one in my room (No 19). The bathroom extractor fan was inefficient.

We stayed in a grand suite as we are a family of 4 and it was just lovely. My daughter even commented that "this must be what Buckingham Palace looks like inside!" Location was good, near shopping district and if you like walking you are able to walk to all tourist sites. We pretty much did most of London on foot with only occasional short cab trips when the children were too tired. Breakfast was not included

The staff were extremely helpful and caring, the porter assures you he needs to move your baggage because that is his job and no he does not expect a tip for this! The rooms are large, whilst older (as I expected) there is no street noise and yet so close to Oxford Street. Unlike most U.K. rooms we stayed in this hotel actually cooled the rooms as well as having heating. The bed was large and comfortable.

Clean rooms with good amenities. Staff very friendly and courteous. Good location. Computer system in lobby is inadequate. Needs to accomodate world standard (microsoft word processing and excel) and printing functionality very slow and frustrating. Shower fluctuated from warm to hot not only in my room but also my colleagues' rooms.

On arrival I was offered a free upgrade to a suite which was expansive and very impressive indeed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless & contained everything I needed - fluffy towels & robe, tea & coffee making facilities, aircon, iPod charger, plenty of channel choice on tv. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very attentive. The only down point was the shower which kept going hot & cold and leaked over the bathroom floor. I guess a feature of old buildings is hearing movement in the rooms above, but the bed was so comfortable I soon fell asleep easily.

I stayed in The Leonard Hotel from Sept 8th till the 17th 2011. The best thing that I liked about it was the location, the friendly staff and the cleanliness. The location is perfect with the Marble arch Underground station with in walking distance, so is the Hyde park, a five or six restaurants, and a couple of 24 hrs mini-markets. The staff are friendly and will do anything to help, and the rooms are very clean The Hotel is a modernized old house so most of the furniture is antique and some is falling apart actually. The sofa bed in the rooms are very uncomfortable. The main bed is a queen size not a king size, and there is no dressers (meaning there is no shelves to use except two small ones in the closet. For a family that is not enough we had to stuff our clothes in the desk and liquor cabinet !

Location - only a few minutes from "Marble Arch". Staff is really friendly. Avoid booking a single room - it is really tiny - there is only a bed, a chair and a cupboard, nothing else (i.e. not desk or table)
