The Light's location is perfect. It's just 3 walking minutes away from Piccadilly Garden. I stayed in a deluxe apartment with 2 bedrooms, both bedrooms and the living room have a tv. Sadly, I can't say the room was very clean. My pillow was smelling bad, and there were dust on dishes. Bathroom sink had a draining problem. Although I had reported this, no one showed up to fix the issue during my stay(4 days).

We booked this as it was advertised as an apartment with a seating area and kicthen with breakfast bar. There were 2 of us staying but only 1 chair to sit in. Their were stools with the breakfast bar but they were not comfortable to lounge in. It was an effort to sit comfortably on the bed as it was so low (reminded me of being a student sleeping on the floor with only a mattress) and the wooden edge all round the bed made it hard and uncomfortable to roll out of. The room felt cold and unwelcoming.

Great location, nice extravegant entrance. Staff friendly I dont feel like the rooms matched up to the standard of the entrance or description! Our room was basic, beds are certainly not doubles. Our room only had 3 slats on the blinds and no curtains. Bathroom was lovely, but why couldnt kitchen and bedrooms match this???

Well located apartment complex hotel. Ideally equipped for a comfortable but self sustained stay. Fantastic views of the city from the upper floors. I would suggest that the couch in the lounge area be changed to a sleeper couch type as we travelled as 3 adults and 1 child. 2 adult parents and one 8 yr old child with myself as the 3rd adult. The rooms were fitted with 2 double beds rather than 1 double and 2 singles. Perhaps there were other rooms equipped in this manner but we were not allocated one. This meant that the child slept on the couch with only a comforter/bed cover for blankets. Less than ideal as housekeeping had already left by the time we checked in on a Saturday afternoon. A sleeper couch would have been the ideal solution.

Must be the worst hotel I've stayed at in Manchester in 30 years. The staff were miserable and I had no hot water to have a shower in the morning. There is also absolutely no sound proofing as I was kept awake most of the night by noise outside the hotel. Finally the fittings in the room are cheap and beginning to fall apart. Must have come from Ikea

A planned weekend with my best friend and our mum's in Manchester. This apartment catered for all. Kitted out with boutique style furniture, balcony overlooking Manchester, flat screen TVs in each room, full kitchen with washing machine, fridge etc. We were cold though, heaters worked in the bedrooms, but struggled with heating in main room. We would have asked but the Service from the staff was very poor, the reception staff we're quite pre-occupied with what food they were ordering for tea, didn't show us around the apartment and were generally disinterested in their guests. They event sent us to the wrong floor, they really didn't care. But this would definitely not put me off staying there again. They just need a lesson in customer service. P.S Take Ear Plugs, this is in central Manchester and taxis, clubs etc are all within earshot!

Location The room was not well maintained for the price and simple things like the tv was not tuned in. Also, the noise of other guests in nearby rooms made sleep and rest very difficult. We will not stay at The Light again.

Location. The double bed had a dip in it, Spent two nights in an uncomfortable bed. We asked for a room with a balcony, but it was littered with cigarette butts and a couple of empty cans of beer. The door to the balcony didn,t close properly so was drafty and curtains didn,t go all the way along so was left with not much privacy at nights.

Great location, excellent staff, clean, very good spacious accommodation that is well priced. Book it! Parking is a nightmare as the car-park entrance is far too small and it's configuration is abysmal, no chance in a 4x4, however, there's a good cheap car park across the way. Expect a few revelers at the weekend that can raise the noise levels.
