The Light

The room was dirty, some of the furniture had been damaged, there was a stain on the balcony that looked like someone had been sick on it. The washing machine was full of washing. When we first checked in, we were given a room that had not been serviced at all, dirty beds, towels and plates everywhere. The staff seemed thrown into confusion when we explained this. We were given an alternative room, but without an apology. We left to get something to eat and when we returned 1/2 hour later, another guest was leaving our room having been given a key. There was no apology from the staff. When we returned from our evening out, none of our keys worked, again there was no apology from the reception staff

Needed butter in the pack

My family and I stayed for one night at this hotel on a break in Manchester. I liked the space afforded by the apartment (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom) and the excellent views over Manchester from the 14th floor. The rooms were tastefully furnished and decorated and the breakfast hamper as well as the complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. Much nicer than satying in a cramped hotel room.

A few minor points which I must stress did not spoil the experience - the light bulbs were out in the ceiling lights in the master bedroom and dining area and the sliding door leading to the balcony was rather ill fitting which resulted in the living area being cold in the morning due to the inclement weather. Had it been sunny and summer it would have been perfect.

Very classy and modern, fantastic views of the city. Very close to shopping, night life and restaurants. Fab jazz club within 5 mins walk. Bread,milk tea and coffes complimentary in room

When we arrived they told us someone else had booked into our room and they took ages to sort out the isse. We were not told about parking and it cost £17 topark opposite

The location was absolutely perfect for our needs and the room was just what we were looking for.

The main light in the 2nd bedroom did not work and when we informed reception, we were told that they would try and sort it but no-one from maintainence was on-site at the time.

Excellent location, had everything you needed the welcome hamper was brill too. Great place to stop with friends, I would stay again with family, friends or my partner. Nice to have plently of space with you don't get in a hotel room. 2 bathrooms great idea with 4 girls sharing. Oh and proper hairdryer :)

I stayed with my three daughters,a friend and 6 month old grandson. We went shopping and cooked lovely meals in the fab kitchen and visited the Beauty Convention. We were upgraded to the three bedroomed penthouse I have travelled all over the world and I am not easily impressed but this place is exceptional.

It will be great when the The Bulb Bar/restaurant opens in December. Needs a bin in the downstairs shower room. My girls said they would like a mirror in each bedroom they all came into the master bedroom to put their make up on. These are just minor things and I would stay there every time I return to Manchester. ( If you're interested book early because I just tried to book the last weekend in October and it's full)

The apartment was excellent. Clean, friendly atmosphere and really made our stay there very enjoyable. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend to friends. The complimentary bread, milk and toliletries were a very nice touch. Great value for money! and the staff were very helpful.

Could do with More lifts as we had a wait for a little while but that is me being very picky.

took over 3 hours to check in??? arrived at 3 had to hang around until 6pm to check in - this puts me off staying again
