Proximity to the cliffs, friendly staff, clean cute rooms, value for money.
Food was wholly inedible. Room was freezing - apparently the boiler was suffering low pressure…??? The dreadful Welsh harridan who appeared to be the manager was thoroughly rude and unapologetic that the room and bathroom were uninhabitable. Stay away! A Premier Inn is a way better option.
Evening meal could have been better
Friendly 'greeter'. Food was good. room good. Would stay again.
Poor wine selection. Breakfast was good, but felt that staff were in a hurry for us to move from table.
Room 5 - big and comfy. View out to sea (just) and loads of room in car park.
Knowing the Folkestone area very well I knew the location would be good. Secure parking was also important. I found the staff welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast was good and my room was comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Very good value. As Arnie would say ' I'll be back '
The weather could have been a bit better. ha
Handy for channel tunnel. Inexpensive. Lovely large room. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
Choice of food for dinner - we went out.
Room was lovely, clean and spacious. We enjoyed an evening meal with friendly bar staff.
Main hotel was just a little tired, weird wedding/mannequin display in the entrance hall was dirty, cluttered and scary. Breakfast staff not very welcoming.
Position overlooking channel
Lack of info on what facilities were available. Wanted to wash hair but could not find a hairdryer. Told on leaving should have asked!
The atmosphere Very friendly staff at all times Great breakfast A real home from home Lovely little sausage dog called Dexter I was on my own and felt very safe Very clean and comfortable bed
relaxed atmosphere friendly staff, huge evening meal - very tasty, same for breakfast. superb location
shower needed a new washer, nothing major but some of the water leaks into the bath instead of going through the shower. Minor inconvenience.
Great location. Room was spacious and comfortable. Food was tasty. Good value for money.
Informed hotel at time of booking that it was our first anniversary. No aknowledgement from staff...in fact our booking was not in the register when we arrived.
large very clean room & bathroom. good food. Good car parking and a great view. 10 minutes to dover car ferry.
Was absolutely gutted to find a live band set up right below our bedroom. They rocked out from 8.30 till 12sh, even though they said 11, then obviously they had to pack up after so by 1 o'clock i was still awake. It was the total opposite as advised, peace and quiet. We came away from our 4 children, first time in 10 years, so was very dissapointed with our stay. Never stay in room 5. £85 to be kept awake.

Window blinds broken. Breakfast poor Room strange setout and NOT user friendly Rm 1
we had a good nights sleep, great place, fantastic location. the room was spacious and very clean.we would stay again.
dead flies around windows on stairway to room, just general cleanliness really.
Ideally close to tunnel approx 10 mins away, room was clean and comfortable, nicely decorated, food was ok,shame was a mist& unable to take advantage of views, staff were friendly
The food in the evening was excellent; the rooms very spacious. Even when there was live music on Saturday night, it stopped at 11 sharp. The waiter and the barman were on their toes and very nice.
We were 3 couples and stayed two nights. After the first night, we had asked for a replacement of a broken toilet brush. Also there was only one feather pillow for two persons, so we asked for another one. Neither the toilet brush nor the pillow arrived and - the rooms weren't even made up. My wife took a shower after the first night, when after a brief knock at the door a lady came barging in, asked for a hairdryer, started searching the drawers for one and took it away. I was so perplex that I couldn't even tell her that my wife would be needing it herself in a minute. The hairdryer was not returned. Later I found out, that that lady belonged to the staff. And - after three weeks in different B&Bs all over England and Wales - we must say that breakfast was less than average.
Location. Friendly Staff.
Frozen chips. Breakfast Room carpet was grubby - it needed a good hoovering. Bridal manaquins displayed in lobby looked out of place. Internal colour scheme not compatible with seaside location.
Staff location price fine . The hotel seemed to need a good refurb room fine but no table n chairs breakfast to late at 8am would love to go again when refurbed sorry
Views Ambience comfortable bed T& coffee in room soft towels good breakfast parking
no lift- heavy suitcase! Room 5 Settee has wooden panel in lumbar area- beware -it hurts if you flop into it!
The view across to France was superb. Good cliff top walks. Reasonable price. Excellent breakfast
Administration wasn't so hot. A personal thing but I thought the bed was terrible.
Outside space for children to play. Large family room. Lovely food.
The stuff of the Lighthouse Inn is very friendly and the view over the channel is very beautifull. A good and rich english breakfast is served in a tradional and familiar atmosphere. The integrated pub offers a high quantity of international beers.
