Location and parking are great. All the staff are super friendly, lovely breakfast.Comfy bed, clean and warm room.
Our room little dated but The Lilly is having a big refurbishment so didn't mind for that night and will look forward to going back after the work is finished.
The room was comfortable,en-suite was 1st class
We stayed for the new year and paid £70 per person for new years eve tickets which was billed as a 20s theme night of jazz and champagne which led us to believe obviously jazz music and to be exclusive to people who were paying for the meal. The meal was nice and when we went into the lounge bar after the meal for the entertainment it was full of local people out for New Years Eve and the entertainment at best was a busker. We spoke to over people who had paid and they felt the same as us let down and out of place.
Room clean and comfortable. Plenty of choice on breakfast menu and staff very attentive. Will certainly visit again.
The attention to detail
Arrived to a cold room, tepped water trickling from hot tap, shower the same, bed hard, not even the basics you would expect were right. The bathroom did not have a blind so there was no privacy from outside. Decor needed attention, poor. Would not stay again.
The Breakfast was great The service from the young lady was excellent.
On arrival at 2.30pm on boxing day the young lady (who i would say is a godsend to the owners) was serving in the bar she was very pleasant and took us to our room, i wish i had took a picture of my wife's and the young lady's face's as the door was opened and we could see the bed had not been made and the room had not been cleaned. Embarrassed the young lady asked us to go to the bar a have a complimentary drink while she would clean the room herself after about half an hour she came to us and told us she would upgrade us to a larger room so I don't know how small the other room was as this was not large room. The decor throughout the hotel looked like a not very good DIY'er had done it. Carpets ragged edges pipes sticking out and not boxed in plaster cracked or roughly done as if someone had thrown porridge on the ceiling and painted it, window sills painted in satin paint which had rubbed off light bulbs missing or had blown, all in all,the hotel decor needs a professional trades man to do the work Good points bathroom was very smart but still needed some TLC .Breakfast was excellent and could not have been better and the same young lady was there to take our order and serve it .I think i spoke to the manager who was serving in the bar when we arrived back at night and my wife and I had a couple of nightcap drinks,I then had a brandy but when i lifted it to my mouth i could smell Tia maria, my wife also smell Tia Maria, I took it back to the bar and the person (who i found out in the morning was probably the manager) did not seem to be interested and did not change it or offer a clean glass, not very customer friendly i could go on but i will vote with my feet
Location, parking, staff, food, prices ok, ambience, access to Great Orme, access to the Town, as expected , stayed many times .
The plumbing is showing its age. Some of the decoration needs a bit of TLC, NO kippers for breakfast! = Heartbroken - not really, the smoked haddock was excellent instead.
Food in the restaurant and brasserie excellent, staff very friendly, no need to venture out in the cold at night lovely fire in the bar and a nice comfy bed to sleep in after a lovely meal and a relaxing drink
breakfast an view
no hot water till very later on through the night , window view small , no view over breakfast
Fantastic hotel with a great Alice in Wonderland theme which isn't over powering. The staff are all pleasant and will do their best for you. Food is superb I have booked in again already!!
We had a good night's sleep and breakfast was nice. They are clearly working on upgrading and staff were friendly.
They are clear about it being work in progress but really the price should reflect this as it is very tatty in many areas. Our room is meant to be one of the finished ones and you can see what has been done but sadly it is still lacking in comforts eg no mirror by a socket and windows that let the wind in to name but 2.
We were a bit nervous of what to expect arriving to the lilly having read the reviews mentioning the cleanliness of the hotel. Well when we pulled up the windows looked a bit run down. We parked our car outside the hotel(for free) and walked in to a stunning bar/restruant. We were shortly taken to our room which we were amazed by for the money we paid. It was spotless with a huge amount of space in the bedroom and especially the bathroom. It was simply stunning and you could tell that the hotel had recently refurbished and it was definately for the better.
There was a table smack bang under the tele with the stoke game on. The table were forever getting up and down onstructing my view.
Position on front able to see spectacular sunsets. Breakfast was good. Quiet.
Parking can be tricky if the resort is busy. Place is being refurbished so some doors were tricky. strange noise on the landing.
Nice stylish room. Great view
No hot water. Loud noise from bar downstairs. Until 1130 pm
Food was good, staff pleasent, bed ok. That's where the positives end.
I have no idea how this place is 4*on Bookings.com. it is quite simply THE worst place I have stayed; to the point that I felt obliged to apologise to the rest of our party. I note the positive reviews on the site, but they can't have stayed in our room, no 7 or our friends room, no 6.The bathroom door had a vacant/engaged sign on it so must have been on a public loo, huge lumps of plaster just thrown on the ceiling, not smoothed thenpainted over. A huge crack running along the left side. None of the painting was finished. There was a funeral party there which went on from 2pm as we arrived and finished after 8pm as we were eating. A james Blunt wannabee struck up at 3.30ish and stopped only after we complained at 8pm.The whole ambiance is of an exhausted establishment which ought to be put out of its misery. I could go on, but all I will sayto potential guests is Do not go there
Nice relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast and a nice beer for a hotel. Very comfortable room, with modern bathroom.
The exterior of the property looked a bit tired.
Boiler very noisy outside room!
Breakfast was outstanding fantastic choice
Bed was very hard. I didn't get much sleep. No staff present when I checked in had to find someone. Superior room was very poorly finished. Some of the furniture was old and ideally needed replacement
Beautiful views across bay and great choice of breakfasts
Not sure what stage of refurb our rooms were at, seemed unfinished somehow or could just have been cheaper end of tariff. The other rooms seemed more finished somehow. Was a bit put off by broken glass in front door; wondered what on earth we'd come to but was pleasantly surprised.
The food was excellent, for breakfast , and evening meal, food cooked to order so very fresh.Lovely views of the sea.
The bedrooms are being renovated, the sea view room we had even though it had been renovated seemed to have not been finished. the paper was peeling off the wall behind the radiator and the sink plug did not work in the bathroom. It just seemed as if it had been rushed. It would not put us off going back there
Staff were very friendly, warm welcome. Food in restaurant was excellent - we had a lovely meal. Breakfast was particularly good. Location superb, wonderful view.
The room was a big disappointment, especially when it wasn't the room pictured after we booked on line, which we had assumed was the room we had booked. It was small, lacked space to sit and relax and had only one bedside table and no bedside light. The bathroom was good, however.
Fantastic views acrros bay with incredable sunset. Nice areas to sit in and relax. Excellent nights sleep no disturbance. Menu choice and food amazing Staff really helpful and pleasant and happy to go out of their way to assist you. 1 mile from main town centre Will definately return.
Really disappointed in that we did not get chance to use the resturant which was not open during our stay opened from Wednesday to Sunday lunch. Room was lovely with beatiful en suite but no toilet roll holder, no shelf actually in shower. Toilet seat loose. Decoration not fully finished example 2 doors not painted. Wardrobe looked nice but not practical. Shame
VG breakfasts and helpful staff. It was a clean place to stay.
There were significant attempts to update and modernise the place. This needs finishing. So, eg many lightbulbs needed replacing
location, staff very helpful, food good rooms clean and tidy great views from the bedroom will return in the near future.
A bit shabby In places but could see work ongoing. The food was perfect. Plate had a big chip on it we did say when checking out. News paper left down stairs.
