Really nice Guest House, Staff was very helpful and polite Room spotlessly clean and very comfortable with on suite shower room with clean towels and toiletries right in the centre of Maldon and easy access to restaurants and pubs.
Lovely Room. Excellent Parking. Fantastic Staff. Superb Breakfast
Bedroom decor was lovely. Near to town and has its own car park. Bed very comfortable and nice bed linen. Cleanliness in the bedroom and en suite was very good.
Breakfast room let the guest house down significantly. Breakfast food quality was unimpressive. Very noisy hot water cisterns in the bedroom cupboard which made banging noises every 40 minutes throughout the night meant our sleep quality was very poor.
Décor, furnishing and fittings Garden Friendly staff
Getting out of car park Road
Four poster bed Freshly cooked breakfast Friendly welcome
Breakfast ending at 9am which was a bit early for the V Festival-goers!
Food, ambience, decor, the owner! Also camera of road to aid driving out. Great location for town; car really not needed once there.
No negatives at all; we'll be back sometime!
Excellent staff and location
Creaking of pipes as hot water used by other rooms with tiny shower cubicle
Coming out of the car park onto the road.
Clean room (but very purple!). Location - great being able to stroll down to the quay.
Exit from car park difficult (but not much can be done about that!). Breakfast was buffet style and the eggs and bacon were cold, as were the plates.
Lovely comfortable rooms and beds Very friendly and helpful staff
Staff and management gelpful
Room 5 basin hot water tepid Fill breakfast to greasy for me; do they grill the bacon? Otherwise breakfast good
QUALITY OF THE BED. ABILITY AND WILLINGNESS TO CATER FOR MY DIETARY NEEDS.
BACON A LITTLE OVER COOKED. NO WHEAT FREE CEREAL EG. CORNFLAKES OR RICE KRISPIES WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD.
Breakfast, easy to find, close to estuary and town centre.
We had a downstairs room beside the road,it really need obscure glass or something to prevent pedestrians looking in without us having to close the heavy curtains. Would have preferred more open surroundings, car park was small and crowded, and front entrance very close to road.
When we were in a hurry they let us just see the room before heading off
Shower was very small
Excellent staff, they couldn't have been more helpful.
Room a little cramped.
The limes was great and we enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and check in and check out were easy. Everything was great except the pillows which were awful
The pillows sort them out and the place will be pretty much perfect!!!!
clean modern room and bathroom, with hairdryer and good toiletries.
room was a very small double in annexe, loud road noise at night. Breakfast wasn't very good - undercooked bacon and overcooked fried eggs, service somewhat lacking (only one other table in dining room but had to ask for cutlery and tea, toast didn't arrive until the end of breakfast after we reminded the waitress). Towel taken after first night and no replacement given so had to share a towel on second day.
The atmosphere in the main period house, comfort, absolutely everything I would wish for provided, and the breakfast - mmmm!
The shower was decidedly feeble - Room 1.
The location was excellent - right in the middle of Maldon. The guest house was absolutely full but the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The car park is a bit difficult to access though a monitor is helpful for seeing on-coming traffic. The ensuite was very small.
Staff were so helpful. Room was very comfortable and felt relaxed
Access by car to street was tricky despite wall camera. View is blind to main road. Staff had to assist me to drive out onto busy road. On last morning, front door which was a fire door took 10 minutes to open. Owner called maintenance to fix problem
Lovely room, excellent breakfast, good service. Had a lovely short break, thanks.
Found the car park a bit challenging when it was busy!!
friendliness of owner and his staff location
fresh, new interior great breakfast
delay in off-site staff arriving to check us in--worth the wait however.
friendly welcome and the young lady was most helpful.
We liked being in the annex
The entrance is on a.busy main road into MALDON and it was difficult to get out on to the road
