A whole cottage to ourselves with breakfast served in our kitchen! Better than a 5 star hotel suit.

the owner was very friendly and could not do enough to make you feel welcome

if i had one critisism it would be about the bed it was quite hard and creaked every time you moved.

Had another very enjoyable stay at the Poacher. It is very comfortable especially as you have more room than the usual B&B and you can prepare your own snacks and packed lunches. However, by the time you've eaten the more than ample breakfast you won't need a lot. We would recommend eating in the Poacher each evening as the food is top notch but would advise that you bring expandable clothing if you stay for longer than a couple of nights, or are we just greedy! Pippa and Mark are welcoming and always willing to help in any way they can. We look forward to our next stay.

Warm welcome by our hosts and lovely breakfasts delivered to us in the attractive cottage. Delicious evening meals enjoyed in the pub restaurant. The bed was really comfortable, the location quiet and secure parking provided adjacent to cottage. Excellent mini break and would recommend to friends and family.

Lovely place, in effect a little cottage with breakfast brought to you! Very clean and comfortable with a kitchen area. No facilities to cook a meal yourselves but would be great for a takeaway and there are a few places within walking distance. Had a lovely meal in the pub, I'm vegetarian and the veggie option wasn't for me but Mark was happy to cook something else and it was very tasty. Good location for visiting the Lincolnshire area and just a few miles from Lincoln itself. There's a couple of other pubs in the village, didn't appear to do food though, and a couple of shops too. We had a lovely break.

    1. the location was spot on for that particular weekend. 2. the accommodation had been restored from old 'out' buildings; it was an excellent conversion with excellent use of space. 3. the breakfast was very good on each morning served in the cottage.

Staff were very friendly, and the food was excellent value for money. I was travelling for business, and can sometimes feel vulnerable on my own, but this cottage was ideal for me. Home from Home! Have booked to stay there again.

Good value for money, we liked the fact that we had our own mews cottage so could relax in our own sitting room. Location was very quiet, as we had hoped. Owners very helpful and welcoming, we ate in the pub restaurant on the first night and were very impressed by the menu and the food.

Lovely cottage, warm welcome, sadly we didn't get chance to stay the night and sample the full English breakfast due to a family emergency, but if it matched the evening meal in the pub then it was not to be missed next time !!! The landlady was spot on , will go again as we have friends nearby who we d hoped to visit on the Sunday .

Enjoyable stay; clean, comfortable and nicely apportioned room situated close to the pub that offered a good food menu. Excellent location to explore Lincolnshire countryside and Lincoln itself as train station is nearby. The Landlady is very helpful, offered good advice on how best to get around e.g. walks.

    Nonthing.

Really nice cottage accommodation, great welcome. The village has enough places to go to to eat and drink, but we would recommend staying put as the food at the Lincolnshire Poacher is great :)

Excellent accommodation in a small cottage, the pub was very warm and welcoming as was the host Pippa. Food and service perfect. Will defiantly stay again when in the area. Who needs to stay in a bland expensive boring hotel chain when you can find smaller more friendly accommodation like this at a very good price.
