Although I had only booked a single I was given a twin with seaview. I had a bad fall just before checking in and would like to thank the receptionist for all his help and the first aid kit!

Nice spot, clean, friendly staff, poor internet connection. If you get a room at the top you have to be fit as there is no lift

I emailed the hotel after booking asking for a room on a lower floor due to knee problems as I didn't want to climb too many flights of stairs. I received a very quick reply saying they would book me a ground floor room. Friendly guy on reception on arrival. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious, very central and overlooking sea. I loved the huge windows and drapes. The tea and coffee were plentiful. The spotless bathroom was a decent size with lots of towels. There was ample drawer /clothes hanging space and the bed was comfortable. Took a little while to check in as the guy's paperwork wasn't in order and he tried to charge m£120 instead of booking.com rate of £70. He said this keeps happening. I had to offer to fire up my laptop to show him my booking receipt but he eventually found right paperwork. Not a major problem just a slight irritation as I felt that I had to justify the fee. I only had a small handbag with me and the key fobs were massive but not a major issue. There was a shower head but it was just resting on the very nice taps and not fixed to the wall, so was usable for washing hair or rinsing down but not for full shower The location of power points may be a problem for anyone with mobility issues

From arrival and payment we could not hold of any hotel staff all 3 days. Room not cleaned or changed towels or replaced toilet rolls. View from window did not compensate for poor service. Would not stay in place again.

I liked the relaxed environment and comfort of the Lindum. The hotel had lovely views of the seafront and is situated in a good location close to local amenities. Staff were friendly and available. Rooms were cleaned daily, clean towels provided and most importantly there was a hair dryer!

Fantastic location. Short walk from train station and a good distance walk from the old town. Comfortable and Clean room Great View from my room There was no breakfast available but we could take short walk to cafe near by. Close to reaturant, bars and supermarket. Good Value for money. There is Big Boiler in my room. It makes vibration noise as I have sensitive hearing, but I used to it at the end. Unlike my husband, he couldn't hear anything.

Handy for sea front. Changed our room for sea view (as requested) which was nice. Poor Gent on reception - his first day - he didn't know where we could park or anything about wireless internet supply

Staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect - very near to the beach and the shops. Parking is on the street and you have to be lucky to find a space.

The staff are always happy to help,, the room i stayed in was clean and very comfortable, en suite was superb, my room faced the seafront and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there, very quiet hotel in that i was never disturbed by noise from other guests, have to say i enjoyed one of the best nights sleep i have in over 10 years as a sufferer of insomnia. and have to say my only regret was i wasnt staying longer, i intend visiting Hastings again and i will make sure i reserve my room at the Lindum hotel. special thanks to Tony for making my stay so pleasurable. Mark Ellis having such a short stay.

I stayed in room 3 for one night on Saturday 20th April. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My single room was small and cosy but this is NOT a four star B&B! Although my room was clean and comfortable the windows were filthy and so were the net curtains. The shower is small and dated and the rusty old shower rack really needs putting in the dustbin! My sea view was obscured by the hideous scaffolding surrounding the front of the hotel. All I could see was a number of paint pots! It was such a lovely day on Saturday but I couldn't even make use of the shared balcony. The website should advertise this fact so people can make an informed decision about whether to book or not.

comfortable bed scaffolding which spoilt sea view: we would have appreciated being warned about this beforehand and being offered a cheaper rate as we had paid extra for a sea view. hotel was generally very clean but I found a pair of socks under the bed from the previous occupant. No hanging room or hooks for longer coats

I liked the convenience of how close it was to the seafront/beach/town centre. How friendly and helpful the guy on the desk was. I was going to arrive much later than 20.00 hrs due to the coach times but this was not a problem, he waited for me to arrive. There was not anything to not like. I really enjoyed my stay.
