room (32)was too hot and couldnot control the output from the towel radiator - it is positioned very close to the loo when sitting managed to burn myself twice!
The welcome, room.facilities and the cooked breakfast was superb....nothing was too much trouble. Great stay.
Unfortunately the double bed was a tad too small for us.....other than that everything was great.
Friendly and helpful staff, lovely spacious room with comfy bed, great location, vegetarian option for breakfast, would definately stay again
Bit noisy, but to be fair.. there was a function & wedding party on the 2 nights we stayed, didn't go on too late... though would ask for different room next time, as we were right above the function room
Very helpful friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our night there. We are planning to book again for next year.
This was not our first stay at this location but as ever we found this to be a characterful, well-situated hotel with excellent breakfast. Definitely good value for money.
Our room was situated fairly close to one of the reception rooms and we were kept awake for a while after a long day' travelling by an event downstairs. In fairness however the music stopped punctually at midnight.
Very friendly staff and great food
Staff were helpful and attentive. The room was warm. The bathroom was newly fitted and clean.
The food in the restaurant was awful! Go out to eat! The main areas need a bit of a face-lift
Food fresh and cooked to high standard
Heating of room poor

The noise on Saturday night My sleep is usually fair and is not the fault of the hotel
All staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and functional. Really nice breakfast.
Decor was a bit tired, but it's a lovely building.
Close to centre. Limited variety at breakfast
The bed was not really comfortable

Location Car Park Beer Garden Welcoming Friendly staff Nice Room Good in room refreshments C/Heating available even on the hottest of day's On a pleasant day to arrive order a drink, stroll to the beer garden to sit in dappled shade and relax, yes this was a good choice of accommodation, would stay again and recommend.
It's not a dislike and there is nothing that can be done to remedy the view. However it's location and everything else it offers more than compensates.
Good breakfast, room nice. Staff friendly. Nice old Inn.
Bed creaked and did not feel safe! Key for door after reception closed did not fit!
Common areas very tired
