Staff, food, service, all epic
Lovely setting. Very clean. Food superb. Would recommend.
Very hot weekend. No air con. Rooms very warm to sleep in.
The tranquil setting -- a bucolic setting. Staff was very efficient and accommodating
There was nothing to dislike
Food, especially breakfast. Staff very helpful. Comfortable bedroom, with good sized bathroom.
The staff were all friendly and efficient. We made some alterations to our dinner reservation and this was accomplished with no fuss. The room and food were excellent. Very peaceful setting net to river
Nothing to not like
Very friendly staff, very helpful, very fresh inside, beautiful location, good bar with good real ale selection.
Location, first rate staff, really faultless
Excellent food, staff very friendly and efficient, everywhere spotlessly clean. We will definitely return
Nothing to dislike, but an unusual location for the wardrobe - in the bathroom!. Advanced planning & liaising needed prior to getting ready for the evening!
Gorgeous location, fantastic food, great bathrooms. Friendly and very professional staff.
Smoke from smokers outside the hotel at the front drifted up into my friend's room. My room was very warm although there was a fan provided in the room which was very welcome.
The hotel was spotlessley clean and the staff were great and very helpful and the food was second to non and we will be going there again later this year ,we would recommend this to anyone thinking of staying in the area the rooms are first class
Nathan the barman rocks! An Asset to the Lion
friendly efficient staff in a very tastefully restored character property alongside the river Teme
Staff Food Decor Quality of toiletries, bed linen, towels
Very friendly and welcoming. Great food, especially the Herefordshire beef, which tasted delicious
Our room which was above the kitchen was very hot, even though the heating was off!
A little gem tucked away in the lush countryside. Great beer, very friendly and a fabulous location on the banks of the River Teme.
Only 2 things!! One that we were only there for one night and two (not really a moan), we couldn't get a signal for the mobile phones, probably not a bad thing when you want to get away from it all
Good parking, riverside garden with views over meadows to distant hills.
The quality of the furnishings and decor. The quality & presentation of the food.
Lack of main course choice. No change in main menu or specials both nights. Too much fish & not enough meat choice. Accomodation price a little high.
First class service and stunning tranquil location. Wonderful food in the restaurant and a feeling of being a valued guest from start to finish. Will definitely return.
The food was fantastic and wonderful riverside location. The ambience was such that it was formal but relaxed, we felt special for the weekend!
The bar man putting wrong drinks on bill!!
River views, friendy and helpful staff, comfortable bed. Very high quality food
Shower ran too hot- cooling it a problem- reported to staff, only one chair in the bedroom. local motor cycle gang congregate in the evenings at the bus shelter opposite- revving engines until 11.0 pm
Have stayed before and that is why we returned. Food v good though perhaps not quite as we remembered but would always come again. Rooms v comfortable staff v good
We loved the location. Just 20 minutes from Ludlow, which is a beautiful town and the castle was a treat. Our room overlooked the river and bridge. Dinner was delicious and the staff were lovely, checking we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Breakfast was varied and freshly cooked. Juices, cereal and yoghurts were laid out for our arrival in the breakfast room. All in all we had a great time and would love to go back
Not being able to stay longer!!
Value for money - standard room but expensive without breakfast!
