The hotel was in the centre of a very nice village with small shops and a number of pleasant pubs The food was quality and the charges were fair The staff were very helpful and friendly The log fire was comforting
The room was initially cold and it took time to warm up The stairs were winding and coming down there were areas were a rail would have helped
There was a real friendliness and warmth staying here, and our room was just gorgeous!
Friendly staff Good village location
Worn mattress Two singles put together Poorly insulated windows Room not overly warm
Food, and especially the Dinner. The Staff were very helpful. We were warm. Good sized television screens in the bedroom, and Brewood is a very pleasant place. Excellent stopping off place, and quiet at night - even on Saturday..
Not able to get Breakfast until 0900 on Sunday. The continental left in the room was a bit basic and no croissants! Main shower - fine, but flexi shower head was off when we arrived and not mended. Moveable lavatory seat added nothing to the experience. Furniture in the room was a bit basic and in need of a lick of paint.
Comfort and rooms, good food nice staff
lack of secure parking
Good decor , friendly staff , room very clean made to feel very welcome staff member Sal Was good and our chamber made was excellent , don't know her name .
Breakfast not well organized on Friday ,due to the staff member I feel ,still ok but lacked attention to detail , no toast offered or milk on table for cerial , milk given when asked for but served a teapot with no lid ? Saturday was good for breakfast ,
Excellent location, lovely comfortable room, fabulous food and atmosphere. The evening staff were very accomodating as was the duty manager.
A request to sit at a particular table for breakfast, allowing family and friends to be together, was declined as 'we don't use that table for breakfasts'. The table remained empty whilst we had to sit at separate tables.
Atmosphere was great, food excellent, friendly staff !!
Bed very uncomfortable
Character, location, newly and tastefully renovated
We arrived quite late and the hotel kitchen had just closed (as we expected). There are limited opportunities to eat elsewhere in the village.
Staff were very friendly & helpful. The room very clean & with all the usual amenities. Cannot fault the restaurant. Went for the early bird menu. FANTASTIC value.
Only a small moan, but a little noisy in the morning from the street outside. (A different room may have been quieter) other than that, an enjoyable stay.
Excellent location in the middle of the village, nice room, off-season rates outstanding. Great to see an old inn come back to life. Friendly & helpful staff.
Car park public and a bit of a hike (not mentioned in the description) but OK considering the central location, needed a law degree to work out the small print on the 'supper club' evening menu.
Staff, food and location were wry good - 10 mins max from the motorway Would certainly use again ahead of a return to city centre
Parking was away from the hotel. great that it's free but those with any significant luggage would struggle unless one of the public parking spaces in front of hotel available
Top notch food
Noise from cellar fans all night
The room. The good renovated old hotel with a soul.
We arrived at 9pm and wanted to go to the restaurant but the kitchen was already closed. The restaurant was still occupied with many tables but the cook decide no. Same for the included breakfast. Only starting from 8.30AM. In fact we got only the breakfast on the table at 8.45AM. Another couple left already at 8AM since they did not want the wait for the (included) breakfast. No Wifi at the 2nd floor
Location excellent, staff very helpful. Reece was a charming young man. Michelle (head housekeeper), went over & above to make us comfortable, she found fans for our room :-) Having a fridge in our room was great.
No parking, our room was like a sweatbox! I asked for a room at the rear, but we were in 'Penkridge' room - very noisy as we overlooked the square, ridiculously hot! After dinner we had to go to our room as the sitting area was full of casual drinkers. Somewhere for guests to relax would have been good.
Beautiful village and lovely pub/restaurant area. Evening food in the restaurant was excellent and good value.
Breakfast on the first morning was poor, with little choice and having to ask for basics such as butter - possibly due to limited staff and guests. Due to a mistake we had been given an uncleaned room and the initial response was disappointing (blame put on laundry rather than hotel error) although we were given another room. However, rest of stay was very good.
Nice location and a comfortable hotel with excellent food.
No car parking facilities, however a free car park a few minutes walk.
Lovely hotel/pub.Tastefully decorated and in a lovely country village.Bar staff and manager was pleasant, room was superb!
Drinks were expensive and lots of stairs to room but other than that it was great!
Friendly and helpful staff, good size comfortable room, breakfast very good. Nice location in the centre of the village. Would visit again.
The stairs can be a little unnerving and would benifit from a stair rail. Can be a little noisy when village pub oppersite empty s out. Parking is not on site and is a short walk around the corner.
Lovely modern rooms, really friendly staff
The only thing was that the shower wasn't as powerful as it should have been but that's the only complaint!
Staff very friendly and efficient
Stayed here for V-festival and requested an early check in which was no problem. Lovely large room was very clean . Fridge in the room was an added bonus! Breakfast excellent!
