Some rooms were being refurbished, so noisy at the moment, but that won't last and other will get better rooms

The location was good and i could park right outside the hotel.
We were put in the annex, a cold, tiny group of rooms, in desperate need of a complete facelift. I could just about squeeze in between the twin beds and just about squeeze between the bed and the vanity unit to draw the curtains. The radiator was turned off and the timed heating had gone off hours ago. On check-in, i remarked how cold the room was. The member of staff put the heating on for one hour which made little difference. This is the first hotel i've evr stayed at where i had to get dressed in the middle of the night and get back into bed to keep warm. I was assured the following day that the heating would remain on which did help. However, after 24 hours, into our 3 night stay, at £61 a night (not including breakfast) the heating was switched back to timed meaning the room was freezing again. When i complained again, the staff/owner came back with all sorts of excuses including how she liked a cold bedroom with the windows open!!! In November, with frost on the ground, i like to be given a choice of whether i freeze in my bed or not! The single duvets just about covered the surface of the mattress so that when you turned on your side, there wasn't enough duvet to cover you. I'm only a size 12, i should add. During our stay the beds were made but the carpet wasn't vacuumed at all. Finding someone else's toe-clippings on the worn carpet is not a pleasant experience! The Hotel Guest Information books were stained and dirty. I wanted to wash my hands when i had looked through it. Poor quality tea-bags and a kettle made for one cup didn't go down well either. Very poor value for money. I won't be staying here again.
We went with some friends who had a dog it was lovely that he was able to come and not have to go in kennels, we also liked the individual style of he hotel and the breakfast was value for money
Things were a bit worn out in in places , eg carpets almost thread bare
Bed was excellent hot water clean rooms good location Polite staff
Hotel Bar was open to public, too noisy and distressing no space. Food looked good but lacked taste for price. TV signal was poor in bar TV signal was terrible in room, was pointless having a TV. Double bed was two singles together. Telephone and hairdryer did not work.
Clean room, good location, friendly staff, nice breakfast.
Christmas decorations up in October, cooking fat smell downstairs, at £91 for one night a little exspensive for what you get
good value old fashioned charm which is lacking in hotel chains that often cost far more, but with modern facilities - well located in pretty seaside resort.
I made a last minute booking and it still had a single room left when the rest of North Wales was full.
everything especially the restuarant
bar food plus location close to Portmadog and railways Nice sea view walks
Nothing of note
Good location, well appointed room, plus parking right outside the room.
Buffet style breakfast was acceptable, not exceptional.

Some areas in significant need of updating/upgrading Some bedroom fixtures and fittings looking tired/old fashioned Peach valance on the bed! Breakfast buffet was very 'budget'
