With views over the beach, Tremadog Bay and towards the ruins of Criccieth Castle, Caerwylan Hotel is situated 10 minutes’ drive from the edge of Snowdonia National Park.
Score from 87 reviews Wonderful
Situated within Snowdonia National Park, Aberdunant Hall Country Hotel is a 17th-century property set within 200-acres of woodland on an idyllic upmarket static caravan park.
Score from 290 reviews Very good
This family-run, 2 AA Rosette-winning home-away-from-home is the only hotel in Porthmadog. It offers modern cuisine, and a bar with locally brewed cask ales.
Score from 143 reviews Very good
With free Wi-Fi, a bistro restaurant and a charming bar serving real ales, The Golden Fleece is situated in the historic market square of Tremadog.
Score from 133 reviews Good
Location was good, very close to beach and good parking. Room was ok if a bit dated and staff were very friendly.
Nothing was open on the hotel apart from the bar, was early season but nothing was said when booking that the restaurant was closed and only bar food was available! Plus building work was being done on second floor so only access to third floor was by the old lift. Would be a nice place when everything is finished but we should have been warned of the works going on.
sraff were great room good
bath rather than shower would have been nice and able to get a drink in the bar in the afternoon on return from day out
The Lion Hotel is a very friendly hotel all the staff are very polite and helpful. The location for us as a family was excellent as we were visiting family. It was also great location for walking to the shops and site seeing.
Friendly and served a good pint!
Heating went off during day so was cold when we returned in the afternoon..
Staff were very helpful and friendly and could not do enough for you
Would benefit with some new pillows
The food was lovely, it's usually just a bar/restaurant service, but as I got in late and was working that night the staff did room service for me which was awesome. On the morning I was leaving I overslept and didn't have time for breakfast so they did me a sandwich to go. And the original room I was in didn't have good WiFi, so they moved me to another room without me prompting. So all I can say is that the staff are exemplary. Made my visit a very enjoyable one. I'll be back.
My first room was in the Annex and it wasn't the best, I could see some people being disappointed in it. For me I just needed a bed and a TV and WiFi and I'm happy. However the WiFi was flaky that night and I couldn't connect in the annex room. So the lady on reception offered to move me into the main hotel, which was a fantastic gesture. The room was lovely and the WiFi was fine. Happy me. :D
Good location, handy for everything in town centre but quiet. Food was good and staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Very comfortable and cozy lounge / lobby in which to relax. Staff excellent. Room had everything necessary for a good nights sleep. I stayed here because my first choice was un available. I shall not hesitate to return.
Location good very central. Staff very helpful.
Wifi coverage bit hit and miss
The bed, but we are used to a dunlopillow bed that doesn't have springs.
They were renovating but we were not informed or given a discount.
We were over charged for the fact there was decorating taking place
Everything about the Weekend, the Hotel, Staff, etc. My wife is a Coeliac she had no problem with the variety of the menu, the portions were exceptional.
Cannot add anything in this box
The village was lovely and the veiws beautiful
We tried to eat in the hotel resturant but was informed it was closed for a private function
Nice location, room was toasty warm.
Shower with corner doors. Wifi poor. Staff were functional but hardly welcoming.. perhaps its because im a scruffy urchin..
The location and big car park.
Small bedrooms . Poor wifi. Unable to get food due to restaurant being closed as they had a private party. Poor customer service
Fantastic views over the bay
Some rooms were being refurbished, so noisy at the moment, but that won't last and other will get better rooms
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful

The location was good and i could park right outside the hotel.
We were put in the annex, a cold, tiny group of rooms, in desperate need of a complete facelift. I could just about squeeze in between the twin beds and just about squeeze between the bed and the vanity unit to draw the curtains. The radiator was turned off and the timed heating had gone off hours ago. On check-in, i remarked how cold the room was. The member of staff put the heating on for one hour which made little difference. This is the first hotel i've evr stayed at where i had to get dressed in the middle of the night and get back into bed to keep warm. I was assured the following day that the heating would remain on which did help. However, after 24 hours, into our 3 night stay, at £61 a night (not including breakfast) the heating was switched back to timed meaning the room was freezing again. When i complained again, the staff/owner came back with all sorts of excuses including how she liked a cold bedroom with the windows open!!! In November, with frost on the ground, i like to be given a choice of whether i freeze in my bed or not! The single duvets just about covered the surface of the mattress so that when you turned on your side, there wasn't enough duvet to cover you. I'm only a size 12, i should add. During our stay the beds were made but the carpet wasn't vacuumed at all. Finding someone else's toe-clippings on the worn carpet is not a pleasant experience! The Hotel Guest Information books were stained and dirty. I wanted to wash my hands when i had looked through it. Poor quality tea-bags and a kettle made for one cup didn't go down well either. Very poor value for money. I won't be staying here again.
We went with some friends who had a dog it was lovely that he was able to come and not have to go in kennels, we also liked the individual style of he hotel and the breakfast was value for money
Things were a bit worn out in in places , eg carpets almost thread bare
