Location of the hotel is good. Comfortable rooms and good food. The service by staff was good.
Bar food was good Breakfast sausages were good Location
Cramped room Old biscuit under bed
I liked the location. I thought the first lady we met was friendly and helpful. Bed and breakfast lovely. The bar was nice.
I was very disappointed in that the toilet in the ensuite wasn't as clean as I would have liked it. this was my first port of call when we arrived in our room....there was poo on the rim of the toilet and I had to clean it off before letting my family use it. this put me off everything at the hotel, but my husband told me it was only a little thing but as cleaning is one of my three jobs that is one thing I would never leave in my toilets!!! The bedding was spotless though. this is my only grumble.
Staff were very helpful, the breakfast was excellent and the location of the hotel was very good. The hotel had a lovely friendly atmosphere even if some of the decor was a little tired. There was a good choice of food available in the restaurant and bar but it was a shame that last food orders was 8.30pm.
The floorboards were very creaky and you could hear every footstep and bed creak from the floor above so it was difficult to get a good nights sleep. Also the car park was a bit small especially if a coach was parked there.
Room: spacious, clean, recently decorated, well equipped. Good value for the price.
Breakfast a bit ordinary, but nothing to complain about.
Staff could not have been more helpful. Room perfect, lucky to have large bright room looking over the see. Breakfast excellent. Location very pretty, really nice little town - strongly recommend for quiet comfortable break.
Staff were very friendly and the location was great
The rooms are very old and cramped, they even have a old smell to them, everything is very dated. The biggest problem were how thin the walls were, you can literally hear everything anyone else does in the surrounding rooms, we were in room 21 which meant we had a landing above us and it felt like a stampede when anyone walked along it. Not worth the money, very disapointed
shabby rooms smell of cooking all night very noisy in the night
Friendly staff Superb central location Excellent value Great views from room I occupied
Poor shower strength in my room on top floor, saniflow toilet was also poor. Both these factors were probably due to room position right at top of hotel, however the views out over the bay made up for it.
Staff were very considerate and helpful. Good access to town, beach, restaurants and pubs. Good bathroom. Good bar service for drinks and food.
The room for two people was very small and filled by bed and furniture which made it difficult to unpack or move around the room. Quality of bread at breakfast was poor..
Location is great, some of the staff were very friendly and very welcoming.
We stayed at family room, window does not shut properly so it was breezy and freezing cold all night. We had meal at pub, some of the bar staff were not very nice and occupied large amount of table even though other customers wanted the table they were not going to move. Such a shame to have not good staff and not looked after room when hotel location is so great.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The owners seem to be a motivating presence around the hotel. The location is good - walking distance to the sea and also to nice country walks.
It's rather old school. You might think it cosy, but a little dated is my opinion. When it rains the gutters overflow on the roof and I think that explains a slightly damp feeling to some of the rooms esp. the extension at the back.
Excellent food Good location Friendly staff
Limited car parking
Rooms and breakfast were good.
No evening meal on Sunday.
Unclean room which smelt very bad, and terrible breakfast. Over priced for what it delivered.
everything is functional. stuff was friendly. breakfast is okay.
a room was smelly. old type of a hotel we found a spider on a carpet. also, we found a hole on sheet. we don't recommend you to stay. it is very an old type of hotel.
All staff very helpful. Size of room good.
Position of room was over the entrance to the hotel. Residents gathered there until late on the Sunday evening and the noise was intrusive. Members of the same group were noisy within the corridors on the same late evening.
In fact it was quite good. The breakfasts were very good. The room was very small but the beds were comfortable, the hot water was hot and plentiful, and it was nice and quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice ambiance if you like old-fashioned British seaside hotels in old-fashioned British seaside resorts. We were amused anyway. I was on a hiking trip with a mate and it served our needs perfectly. Would probably try to find somewhere a bit slicker if with the missus, though I'm sure they have better rooms than the ones in the annexe where we stayed. And who heads for Criccieth in search of slick, anyway?
Food was great, staff were friendly.
Noisy floorboard above and some noise from the front of the pub. couldn't always get a parking space, had to go out later after 9pm to move the car.
There was a comfortable family feel to this Hotel.
Lovely staff, comfy communal seating, great food (breakfast ok).
I seriously thought the ceiling was going to come through room 22. Squeaky floorboards does not cover it.
