Looked attractive, good location for my needs Traffic noise! Tasteless breakfast (watery scrambled egg, for example) and the most watered down orange juice ever.

Location great as we were at a party for friends Very noisy with traffic - especially lorries using the road as a cut through from the M25 to the M40. Could probably do with double glazing.

We had a super stay. The Lion is a lovely establishment. The floral decorations outside the front are really beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious.

Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable, queen may be even king size bed, best shower that I've had in a while. The staff were really friendly and with one exception always smiling. One thing that really lets this place down is the breakfast. In comparisson to the room the breakfast is poor. If you like cereal or yoghurt for breakfast then you'll be fine. We went to a wedding the night before so went for full english. To be fair most of it was not great but fine. That was with the exception of the sausages which we just could not eat. I remember reading about them in a review on one of the sites but did not quite appreciate how bad they could be. They just tasted really off.

The welcome, lovely appointed rooms, delicious evening meal The breakfast was disappointing as was delivered on cold plates and so was cold half way through. Also I don't think it is a good idea to completely clear the tables while we were finishing our toast. I think the waitress was wanting to go!!

Room was clean and furniture is new. Hairdryer in the room is very useful. Friendly staff. Punctual in serving breakfast. Overall a pleasant experience. Maybe the bed was a bit soft.

The room was excellent. The atmosphere in the bar. We had intended to eat there but changed our minds as we were not comfort.Also the bartender did not understand ...dry sherry or Dry Martini so I ended up with a sweet drink! Yuk.

well appointed rooms good showers secure good place to stop off on the way to somewhere near the main road mattresses on beds ok food very 'commercial' rather than good cooking
