Excellent accommodation, friendly staff and delicious food. What more do you want??
Large, comfortable room Good restaurant Helpful staff
Very friendly staff.Ecellent food. Perfect room.
we liked it all.
The location was fantastic followed by the spotless rooms, the bed was comfortable and spacious, we stayed in room 14, also there was tea and coffee supplied with home made biscuits..lovely breakfasts too and very generous..
Our room was inclined to be very hot with only a small bathroom window to open, we stayed in October so peak summer would be very hot, and we missed things like salmon, lasagne and pasta on the evening menu also curry would've been nice..
The welcome, beer, staff, food, other guests! were all excellent. We really couldn't fault the place. Staff were especially caring and helpful when I locked the car keys in the boot of the car!
Our double bed wasn't as big as ours back home, so I ended up sleeping in the 'spare bed'..I'd get rid of the family room and have a monster kingsize, though the staff did tell me that they have bigger beds in other rooms...next time I'll double check.
Everything - food, drink and the staff were spot on, professional but friendly also.
Setting is ideal for walking. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Good, hearty breakfast. Appreciated the fresh milk in room and the offer to fill thermos flask at breakfast - little touches make all the difference.
Mattress a little too firm.
Beautiful location, lovely rooms, great staff, amazing breakfast and the beers not bad either!
Evening meal was excellent as was the full English breakfast. Great location , spotless and would stay again.
Would be difficult to find any criticism.
We both really enjoyed our stay - the staff, accommodation and food were excellent. We will return for a longer stay next time!
My wife prefers a bath to a shower so a bath would have been nice. A booklet about the hotel and it's surrounding area in the room would have been useful. Our stay was too short!
very well run establishment with great staff, restaurant is spot on and the rooms are immaculately clean, in all the perfect place to explore.
the room description "all with beautiful views overlooking the picturesque village green or the stunning yorkshire dales national park" is quite simply not true! ours looked on to the carpark!
Fantastic location and really helpful staff. The picnic lunch we ordered was really good value and great quality. Food for dinner and breakfast was great too.
Staff very pleasant and helpful, no fridge in room so fresh milk provided in small flask to keep it fresh, rooms comfy and generally clean, food very good and breakfast excellent. We were in large family room (used as a twin) overlooking front of pub, over lounge area and front door. We were lucky as it was mid week and quiet but I expect if you wanted an early night in this room when busy, it would be quiet noisy. I'm picky so I notice little things, but generally ok and would recommend especially if you are walking in the area. Great place to visit.
Room smelt a bit fusty at first as if not used for a while. Sash window difficult to open for fresh air, although fan provided. The room decor ok but dark where the dressing table was situated, no table lamp or over head lighting in this area, also kettle etc on dressing table leaving not much room. Shower room adequate but small for size of room and fan covering, covered in thick layer of dust, and shower surround sealant in need of replacing as moldy. Easy chair in room had large stain on chair seat. Room needed a little TLC and a brighter coat of paint - too dark!!!
Lovely clean well equipped rooms with an enormous ensuite shower room, with an excellent bar and restaurant. The staff were very helpful and pleasant
wifi is very limited. bar area only.
Decor of bedroom; quality of food; fabulous location; non-smoking beer garden - lovely for non-smokers to be able to sit outside too.
Friendly Inn with staff to match. Superb location in village. Staff very friendly & helpful.
Nothing to dislike!
Bar area was inviting, restaurant was spacious and comfortable, bedroom was well decorated in a contemporary style.
The bedroom was very cramped due to the unnecessarily large bed and too much furniture, with no outlook whatsoever. The restaurant was expensive for what was basically pub food, basically "chips with everything".The side salads and veg on offer were poorly prepared. Service was sometimes slow.
Very comfortable hotel, room was excellent. Only complaint was that we were unable to open a window. The staff were exceptional, most helpful and really friendly. The breakfast was delicious and there was lots do choice. In all we really couldn't fault anything!
very friendly and helpfull staff. Location for walks excellent.
the bathroom was very small.
I was walking long distance with a friend, we both enjoyed our stay. The location was great, the hotel staff welcoming, the room and food excellent both for evening meal and for breakfast.
Enjoyed our stay so no complaints.
Food was superb, staff were extremely helpful, even after we left they posted me something i had left behind. Would definately return, had a wonderful stay.
Everything! The bar man who bought us a G&T up to our rooms after we arrived very tired at 7.30pm, the lovely comfortable rooms, the great food and atmosphere in the bar, the roaring fire and the brilliant breakfast and packed lunches. All excellent value for money too.
Great location, lovely spacious room, decor, excellent menu, huge breakfast with lots of choice, dog friendly, had a lovely relaxing stay - thank you
Hard to fault and i don't want to as we had such a lovely time but Drinks bit pricey - £3 for slimline tonic and £4.70 for pint of Staropramen.
The food was amazing especially the breakfast.
The bed would have be fitted from an extra pillow- 3 instead of just 2.
Cozy gorgeous Inn Food is so good. Staff so smiling and helpful Situation for walks Lovely room
