Lovely room. Even the pop up restaurant to replace the closed kitchen worked well.
Great location, really friendly staff and the rooms were superb. Very clean despite pets and muddy boots.
The kitchen refurb was a slight inconvenience but they worked round it well. However, the staff at breakfast were slow and didnt seem very well trained quite a few people were getting annoyed with not being served and having to ask a few times for things.
The room, location and beer!
Friendly and helpful staff, great location and gorgeous roaring fire. Excellent breakfast and dinner, and overall good value for money.
It's not a criticism, but it is a dog friendly place, so if dogs aren't your thing then probably not for you.
A real country pub with real log fires
Double bed a tad small when used to a king sized one at home. Shower room small too although adequate. Bath would have been nice. Complementary coffee tray not replenished with milk although this might be a bit churlish given that our stay coincided with radical kitchen overhaul
Staff extremely friendly and helpful Very dog friendly Yummy cooked breakfast
Standard room we were in (room 12) was really a little too small for 2 people and a larger size dog and I think this should be pointed out in the room description. Otherwise no complaints.
The food was superb, the regular staff where very friendly and very attentive, the whole atmosphere was lovely.
Our second night was Valentines evening, which fell on a Saturday, the restaurant was understandably fully booked, we presume weekend staff served us, the service was very poor, our dishes on the same course where served 15 minutes apart!!!
Lovely location, warm and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with many choices. Without exception, all staff friendly and eager to make your stay special.
Although the food in the evening was very good, the menu was somewhat limited. Would have liked some more fish but this is not a crticism, more of an observation.
We really enjoy visiting Malham and the Lister Arms provides a great base from which to explore the surrounding countryside.
Excellent location, very friendly staff, lovely breakfast, more than we could eat, very comfortable room. Good wi-fi connection in room.
Just the whole thing accommodation atmosphere friendly staff ideal location to chill.
A beautiful room, great pub, lovely staff and wonderful food. We will definitely return for more than just the one night next time.
It didn't really bother us, but I can imagine some people wouldn't like it that the WiFi range didn't extend to our room.
Room 5 is spacious with huge bed and good views.
No radiator or heated towel rail in bathroom so bathroom freezing. Sash window in bedroom lets in cold draught. No fridge.
Room, pub food, staff location =Everything great ☺
Nothing too much trouble. Food excellent. Company convivial. Dogs everywhere.
Rooms where very spacious and clean, finished nicely. Food was excellent both evening meal and breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.
Friendly hard working staff. Good food, good beer, good location for walking and a roaring fire to come back to. Very cosy.
Nothing at all.
We stayed for two nights and found the accommodation to be very clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant both evenings, and had delicious food on both occasions. The breakfast was also brilliant. Cannot recommend highly enough.
We were made very welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. Te location was brilliant. Rooms were warm and inviting. Would definitely stay here again.
Everything! Staff friendly and helpful, bar cosy with the log fire. Food lovely and a good price, beer great as well. Bedroom modern and comfortable, nice to have mugs and not the usual little cups for coffee. Will be staying again in the summer hopefully
Only staying one night!
Everything it was a lovely 2 night break we would definitely go back.
Easy to say everything, but I can't think of anything to criticise. The room was absolutely lovely; large, beautifully furnished, comfortable, warm, and clean (as was the entire place). Drinks provisions were accompanied by a flask of fresh milk, and some very tasty biscuits! We dined in, and our meals were excellent, as was the accompanying wine. Breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of choice. Staff were polite and attentive without ever being intrusive. What's more, they all seemed happy in their work. I will definitely be returning at some point in the future, hopefully for a longer stay.
I can't think of anything.
