The food and service were excellent, the room was clean and comfortable will definitely be staying again.
lovely beer garden to rear. Nice view from bedroom window. Tasteful decoration of rooms. Loved the sheep T cosy! log fires.
rather warm both in the bar and the rooms.
location, staff, hotel food and beer selection!
creaky floorboard no Wi-fi in bedroom
Beautiful setting, log fire, homemade biscuits and fresh milk for your tea and coffee, dog friendly, delicious home cooked food and fantastic service
I booked the superior suite for my hubby's birthday, the room, pub and restaurant were all lovely and the open fires amazing!! Cosy relaxing feel and the staff were all lovely. Perfect location at the foot of malham cove
As I stated above I booked the superior room, the main reason was because of the log fire in the room but upon arrival we were informed it couldn't be used because if health and safety! It doesn't state that on the website and I would have just booked a normal room if I had known that
The location is excellent, the deluxe room is comfy despite lacking a bath. The bar has a great choice of beers. Breakfast choice was very good, and food in general was really nice and reasonably priced for high quality.
Minor gripes - black mould in shower, replacement shower gel not supplied when the first one was nearly empty. Breakfast table needs things like extra spoons, so you don't have to use your coffee spoon to eat a yoghurt. Other guests put buttery spoons in the marmalade pot for the same reason. No extra plates visible so if you'd just had fruit, your toast would be soggy. I am sure the plates and spoons were there, but you don't want to ask every time you want something small like this.
Excellent breakfast nice real ales very welcoming great place to stay
Location is great for walking, and atmosphere was warm and friendly. Staff were very helpful and with just the right level of friendliness. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, and we aren't easily impressed!
First night we had a room (4) that smelt slightly of dog (the downside of pet friendly) and was overdue a refurbishment. We'd have put up with it but new occupants moved into the room next door and liked loud tv. No problem changing rooms though and the new room (7) was very nice.
Warm welcome, good food (dinner and breakfast), good location
Room, location, friendly staff, breakfast and lunch perfect. Atmosphere relaxed and safe for the single person, couples, gay or straight: walks and views (and beers) amazing in out of season
Menu too big for evening meals and in season menu expensive and poor.
Stayed in Lister Cottage. Good sized rooms for us and dogs. Massive bed and warm room. Good range of beers and enjoyable food
Brilliant room, beautifully furnished. Food excellent, second time I've stayed there, would definitely recommend.
The welcome was excellent. We had a superior room with plenty of storage, nicely appointed, warm and cosy. We ate in the hotel all three nights and our meals were of a consistently very good standard. The hotel could not be better placed for walking in Malham.
Nothing really but I would suggest that they perhaps have a drying room for wet walking gear to save guests drying out wet stuff in their rooms.
Quality and variety of the food; character of the bar and open fires; warm welcome from the staff; beautiful surroundings.
Location excellent for walking. Restaurant good choice and quality. Staff friendly and helpful in a warm and welcoming bar.
Shower room rather small.
loved the hotel and the food - very good value, some of the young cleaning staff had little 'service' training?
cleaning in the bar whilst breakfast being served - didn't enjoy smell of Brasso, and noise of vacuum cleaner.
The rooms were lovley and moderns very comforting & homley, the bar had an immense selection of real ales as well as some great belgium beers, food was fantastic and the the staff were very helpful & polite at all times wonderful establishment topped off with 3 open fires to stay cosy in the winter months, Booking again for January.
Ceiling in the bathroom could do with a lick of paint, this did just lower the standard a little for me, however I am very fussy but I have to say this did not spoil my break nor would it stop me visiting this establishment again
Great location, good beer, excellent food, comfofirtable room.
Would be better if Wi-Fi was available in rooms as well as bar area.
Everything at the Lister Arms was wonderful. The location, the comfort of the room and the staff were all excellent. The breakfast choice and quality were exceptional. The food is all delicious.
Best cooked breakfast ever (info from husband) and also for me I don't think I have ever had better salmon and scrambled eggs. Staff were so welcoming - a very smart pub/hotel but no sense of snootiness from anybody there, superb customer service - well done. Will definitely return - very dog friendly - a gem.
We have noted quality of sleep as being fair, only because in the next room the gentleman in there snored and snored and snored until about 2 ish, and then took a phone call around 6.30 am on his mobile which we (and probably everyone else in the adjoining 3 or 4 rooms ) were party to all of the content - not the hotel's fault at all . On our second night quality of sleep was excellent - so just a niggle that's all. Wi fi wouldn't let us connect after registration, which was a bit of an inconvenience, however staff were more than happy to give us weather info before setting out for the day.
The accommodation , food and staff were excellent . A very relaxing break . We will defiantly be back and will recommend the Lister Arms to our friends .
Staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem for them. Location and comfort were excellent. Food was brilliant and the beer and wine. Our dog loved it too.
Food is very good and staff friendly and welcoming
Nothing to dislike .poor weather did nothing to deter us wanting to return soon.lovely room, great staff, good food.
Staff keen to help, great welcome and shown to our room. The room was a little smaller than the pics had us believe so to was the bathroom but the location, food and bar where great.
Wifi access. Bedroom and bathroom size
