central location, close to shops and arena. comfortable bed and clean. staff friendly
shower cold and only a dribble.no heating so room quite cold and bed quilt quite thin.
location and room was comfortable, very good value for money
Very noisy, with music from 5pm to midnight each night. Very difficult to sleep, room vibrating with the noise with a window in the room onto a lit corridor so very bright. Staff unfriendly to the point of rudeness - I arrived to be hasled for a booking reference and that I could not pay until next night then chased for non payment like a criminal when I had just arrived following night. I truly would not recommend this to anyone working, only to those who wish to drink all evening and fall unconscious into bed. It is cheap but there are better options available, especially as parking nearby is expensive . I will never be back .
Great location. Room was clean, comfortable but a little basic.
Stayed 3 nights and room was not made up during my stay.
very centrak, very cheap, very clean
Area pubs clubs drink and food you can not beat it
Not a lot
Perfect for a cheap stay. Room was clean and had basic things you would need.
Stayed for one night. There was not an actual window in the room, but the one to a corridor... So, it was more like a small cabin. And I didn't get a thing with beeping shower :) Fun. The pub downstairs was kinda strange too... It's like only for those aged "40+". Anyway, +location's very good, +free wi-fi, +large floor mirror, +the bed was comfy. Also, +staff let me leave my bag after check-out till pub closing time.
Staff, room, location, Real Ale
Can be noisy until 10pm
Located on a pub. Disturbance whole night. Was not able to sleep due to music n noices.
great for Manchester city centre
stuff is friendly.
this hotel is in a bar. so it is little noisy at night. and the facilities is old
A nice comfortable compact room, fans to keep you cool, good atmosphere downstairs in the pub, no hassle or inconveniences, all in all very good value for the small price involved.
Nothing bad to say about my stay.
Good location, value for money, Clean room.
Pub and hotel are two separate business's I got the feeling the pub did'nt like the hotel being above it. Noisy at night but we were warned before hand.
The location was really close to the heart of Manchester indie culture. It is absolute suitable for fresh traveler.
Location and good pub atmosphere
Rooms very tired looking
Location was great for town centre shopping. Not too far from the main clubs either all walkable. The black bull on the same road was a hidden gem on the road. But as a room to go after a night out it was perfectly suitable.
No exterior door handle, the door would not close by it self and very hard to pull the metal bar to shut the door. One pillow was slightly dirty with what appeared to be blood marks. The cups in the room were dirty mine had pink lip stick on it the glass in the bathroom had toothpaste remains in the bottom. Biggest thing was the power sockets. There wasn't one near the desk for the kettle had to boil the kettle on the bed. Not the safest idea. A black out curtain might be advisable in our room as it had a green light shining in utill the pub closed.
the staff are nice. location is good.
little bit noisy when come back early in the evening because of the bar downstairs and the poor sound proof wall.
Above a pub. Price. Location. Friendly staff.
No breakfast. Would not suit a family.
Location, price, the bar,the staff, entertainment.
supply of towels was poor but not much i didn't like.
near to arena and eating and drinking places
rooms need up dating and cleaning and more milk please
ok if you want somewhere to stay close to city centre
nothing that much
Unbeatable location : 1 min walk from the city centre. Bed linen and shower were very clean.
No window in the room (and this is not mentioned or pictured), no bin, no wifi-password provided. Too hot and too strongly "perfumed". Super noisy until 2am (meaning you won't sleep. At all.) Staff is nowhere to be seen. Of course it's cheap and central, but it's still clearly overrated.
