The staff were incredibly helpful and as this was a lovely little pub we were able to relax with a drink after visiting a wedding near Gloucester. The location is good for Gloucester city but also close to rural locations for other activities. There is also a retail park with the usual chain restaurant nearby and the pub/hotel itself has plenty of parking and a play area for the kids. The room was a little bit 80's style with an old shower and bathroom suite but nonetheless was spacious and very clean.

The reception and bar staff very friendly and helpful, despite having my meal bill thrust at me when about to sit down for breakfast. The bedrooms are dated and could do with tlc and minor repairs

Saturday evening meal - inadequate staff to serve the restaurant - my finished dish was left for 20 minutes before collection. Not asked if I wanted a dessert. Staff friendly but too few to serve a nearly full room

Good food/beverage, cosy bar and restaurant. On site parking. Room basic and door did not lock. Shower hot and impossible to control! No cooked breakfast after 8.45 a.m. Lovely old building but in serious need of updating and investment.

I was there for my aunt's birthday celebration. They let me have room early, allowed us the room for extra time and even reopened the bar just for us. Service beyond the call of duty

Easy friendly and hard working staff Easy access and good value. Good breakfast service. Possibly understaffed on the evening food side; resulting in slowish service, although we were pre warned, and the bar was a pleasant place to wait.

Good Wifi in bedrooms. Freindly atmosphere with traditional wooden beams and open fire. Good English breakfast It's a shame the Little Thatch has a tiled roof but never mind. No Wifi in bar or restaurant. Bed creaky. Shower in our room was small with narrow entrance.

It had what we needed for one night. Cute pub attached to the hotel. It is very basic. Bed wasn't that comfortable and rooms could do with an upgrade in general. However, for the price it was fine.
