Card key system need to be looked at had to keep recoding the keys despite keeping them away from mobiles, car keys etc.

This hotel is a little gem. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and well- equipped. The restaurant was excellent and the lounges welcoming. But it's the staff that makes this place special. They couldn't have done more for us. I couldn't recommend the Llawnroc more highly.

Having thought long and hard about this, I think there's a chink in their winelist. It needs a bit more imagination in the £17-£25 bracket. But that's about it.

A boutique hotel that really IS a boutique hotel. Beautifully decorated and kept up. Staff friendly AND helpful. Rooms are comfortable but high spec. And a cooked breakfast which was great and they offered a number of choices.

Great location a 'stone throw' from the wild Cornish Coast surrounded by beautiful countryside. A very warm welcome and friendly staff complimented by a relaxing atmosphere and fantastic gourmet at very reasonable prices. Great value for money.

Good location for all major attractions in Cornwall.

Not a lit of choice on the Dinner menu, & lunch menu not available, other than that the rest of the stay was fabulous

Very nice hotel, well equipped and finished to a very high standard. Despite the fact that I was the only person staying that night, the staff were fantastic very impressed. Don't think I will get it again, at the price I paid though!!

Our stay at the llawnroc hotel was excellent, the staff were superb and very helpful. the room was on a par with anywhere in the world that we have stayed, the very best, and we would love to return one day to the Llawnroc hotel maybe next time when the weather is better, however, November is not the best time to visit Cornwall but we were able to visit friends and relax. our thanks to all the staff.

A very light and modern hotel with most helpful staff.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, food was out if this world!! Room was clean comfy and had a lovely view out to sea, bed was like a big marshmallow! Would definitely return

The Llawnroc Hotel was clean, modern and stylish. The weather was not great whilst we were there but I imagine in the summer with the doors to the deck open, this would be a magically relaxing place. The staff were very friendly and quick to offer information or help. We were there mid-week in late September so the hotel was quiet Some reviews criticise the service in the restaurant, but we did not have a problem with it. We had perfect service during the meal and no pressure to leave afterwards. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Little to dislike, a small easy or arm chair in the bedroom would be nice but not that important.

Everything, the room was great although I thought I had booked a room with a balcony but that was booking .coms fault the pctures they showed of the room indicated a balcony the hotel was full so they couldn't change our room although they offered should one become availible .the veiw was good the food fantastic ,the chef John is creative with his menu and cooks to a very high standard,the staff are young but very helpful and friendly.I Have stayed in many hotels and the overall standard of the Llawnroc is very highend.

Nothing to dislike but one word of advice.DO Not follow your GPS.this will take you through megavisy as you get to the top of hill on the 309 turn right signposted goran haven

Our room was beautiful with great facilities, members of staff were extremely polite and accommodating

The room had a very high standard. One of the few occasions were the bathroom is better than at home. The staff were outstandingly friendly and all our requests were handled with great professionalism.

The beds were a bit short, even for my wife. The windows, although stylish, opened way down to the floor. A bit of a tripping hazard, especially with a toddler at the loose.

It is a new ,bright, modern hotel, with typical boutique hotel appeal. Our room could hardly be classed as `sea view` but it was nice enough to forgive them for that

We were only staying for one night and had planned to go into St, Austell for our evening meal in order to sample the locally sourced fresh fish etc. However after seeing the hotel and restaurant and studying the menu we decided to eat at the hotel in the evening because there were so many fresh,local choices. Unfortunately when we ordered our food at 8pm not much was still available and we were very dissappointed, by that time we had already consumed a bottle of wine and it was too late to go into the town. The manager did refund us for one of our starters but I do feel she could have been more generous as she new we were not happy.

The relaxing pace of life. The friendly staff. The decor of the hotel. Could`nt of found a better hotel for our honeymoon. An excellent hotel, would love to go back some day.

Not a thing, It was a great stay.

The staff were very poorly managed, poor service from all waiting on staff. Tables with dining items missing, at breakfast tables left and not re laid, orange juice etc run out. At dinner there was no follow up to see how your meal was or if you needed anything wine etc, this let the stay down when paying this much for a room

It's beautiful quiet location. The hotel's modern and welcoming design. Friendly staff. Lovely rooms with PlayStation 3 and iPod speakers.

No WiFi in rooms and only one vegetarian meal on the menu.

A new hotel (one year old). The interior design is exceptionally well chosen. The location is suitable for excursions around the south-eastern parts of Cornwall. The parking behind the hotel is big with ample parking space. Wheelchair access and a lift to the upper floor is provided. The food is very tasty and well prepared.

The staff is extremely tardy and very unorganized. We took a coffee cup into the library in the morning to find it still sitting on the table in the evening. Dirty dishes were left on the patio even after the guests had long since gone, resulting in seagulls feasting on the leftovers and sometimes breaking the dishes. The rooms and the facilities are cleaned but during closer examination we found the surfaces to be wiped down with dirty rags. The offered food choices in the restaurant as well as the bar are very limited. Except for the restaurant there is no service in the bar and on the patio. In conclusion: A very nice hotel that is lacking committed staff and dedicated managers with lots of room for improvement.
