Nice grounds, nice breakfast, excellent value for money. Probably the best I've stayed at in the price bracket that I paid (£35) lots of brilliant gym/sauna and swimming facilities and complimentary access when staying. I'd stay again if the need arose. My door was very stiff to lock properly. But this is minor.

Nice setting just out of the central city, easy walk into town. The gym facilities were also excellent, with a huge bed and good sized room. Bit stingy on tea and coffee, only 2 sachets of each.

Relaxed atmosphere and access to the pool and spa facilities how the breakfast was delivered as a sevice. Would be better as a buffet style. Parking for guests at the lodge. Should have reserved parking at the lodge rather than having to park some distance from your room.

Our room had nice views of the 18th green. Room needs a complete revamp, there were cobwebs on the ceiling and dust on the tables (so thick you left a mark with your finger). The lodge is set within a golf course and has a fitness centre with a bar/restauarant- nothing more than a glorified clubhouse.

great location, and free access to the gym/pool was fantastic. The English breakfast was good (but see the 'dont like' comments Room wasn't that clean. Shower didn't work properly. Poor menu choice. The "Full English Breakfast" does not include fruit, cerial, juice, or even tea/coffee - all are extra!

The pool and leisure facilities were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. The menu for breakfast was extensive and the food was good. The room was old fashioned and didn't look clean. The TV didn't work on ITV. The bathroom was grubby. There were no toiletries provided, just a dispenser with soap.

I liked the facilities i.e the pool and restaurant. It was a nice quiet location We got to the meyrick at 1pm after a long drive. We were told we couldn't have they key to our room til 3pm as it wasn't ready. Seeing as checkout is 10am I found it hard to understand why it wouldn't be ready. The girl on reception was such a jobsworth. We were told that kids can only use the pool between 3 - 6pm so we couldn't even use the pool while we waited even though there wasn't a single person in the pool. I know hotels have check in times but I have been to many hotels and have never has to wait for my room as they are usually ready by lunchtime. Girl on reception really wasn't very helpful at all.

Great location for where our meeting was and very close to centre in a quiet setting. The room was well heated on a very cold night and the value for money was unbeatable for the high quality of room and I would like to go back some time as a leisure visitor. Signage to reception and actual entrance could be better especially arriving in dark. Being able to get refreshments after 9 on a sunday would also be more 21st century.

Having stayed here before, my thinking remained the same, very friendly, reasonably quiet and a great place to stay. If you find a reason to moan then stay somewhere else and give them bad feedback. Here, just lay back and enjoy your stay! Leaving

Excellent Spa, 20-25m pool, gym looked great, and the sauna and steam rooms, changing/showers were clean and modern. Very friendly and helpful staff. A good bar and decent breakfast. We did not play golf but everyone we spoke to had enjoyed the course. Parking was easy. We did not shower in the room as the Spa was so much easier and better equipped. Linen and bedding were all clean and comfortable. The Lodge rooms are a bit tired, the flooring is a hessian matting and stained in places, the flooring in the bathroom is a rough stone. The bed in Room 10 needs the mattress turning to stop your feet being higher than your head. Never a good combination.
