This Victorian townhouse has bright, modern rooms, located just a 5-minute walk from Bournemouth’s award-winning beach.
Score from 315 reviews Good
Overlooking the pretty Lower Pleasure Gardens from a quiet cul-de-sac, Lampeter Hotel is a leisurely walk from the popular seafront and town centre.

location was good for the event we went to and staff helpful.

the bed matres is very old and not confortable
Staff was really friendly. Location's good. Had a great time!
There is a walk way that you can walk down to the city centre from the lodge which is great that you can avoid the main road. But at night there was no light and there is woods next to it so is pretty scary to walk through at night as two women on there own. Think they should put a couple of lights down there.
Leisure facilities were absolutely amazing. There were barely any people Using it Which made it so comfortable. Despite the fact place was open to public, we felt like it was only Reserved for Hotel guests. Surprising food in the Lodge bar was beautiful and what a great Value for money!!!! We were lucky to be there on a curry night theme which was so Yummy!! Location in a park/forest made it Very pleasant too.
The staff were very friendly and helpful food was good pool area very nice.and it was close to town
The room was dark no view on the ground floor so no view and not able to have a Windows open at night. The bathroom was very uninviting looked like a public toilet with a bath yuk.
Poor beds and pillows And noisey fan in bathroom
I didnt like a member of staffs tone in the restuarant very short with our custom and very slow service whilst awaiting breakfast
Staff very friendly and helpful
The mattress and pillows
No mirror in the bedroom
Great location near town centre and golf on site, friendly helpful staff and good leisure facilities
Noisy green keepers meaning early morning wake up. Traffic noise from busy road nearby
Room was quite spacious, clean and airy.
We arrived at 5pm on Sunday and could only use the pool with our grandson until 6pm. The pool was off limits to children except at weekends. Very disappointing.
we liked everything
Excellent value for money, room was lovely, staff very friendly and use of leisure facilities included in price.
Had to keep windows shut at night because we could here traffic.
Position-comfortable bedrooms. Very convenient for accessing many places around. Stunning views of golf course. Very good food in cafe,at reasonable prices.
If you are near the Wessex by-pass,some rooms may be a little noisy-take ear plugs!
The surroundings, peaceful location.
Room quite small. Two windows had permanent condensation. One of the mugs was chipped on the complimentary tray. Worst of all was the stairs up to room five. Outside the gutters were full of pine needles which, although this did not affect us, showed a lack of care by the owners.
Comfy bed Location They let us check in at 4 am after our flight was delayed
Dirty room Dated Dirty bathroom Mouldy net curtains Stained carpet Pricey for what you get
Central position, welcoming staff, ample breakfasts.
Poor lighting - lovely mirror perfectly positioned for doing hair/make-up, but no light near. Not a female-friendly environment!
Well decorated comfortable room, lovely soft bed, good breakfast. Very easy access to Bournemouth centre.
Some minor intermittent noise from the traffic on Wessex Way during the night.
I did like the location, a golf club, something different. A self contained accommodation block, set on three levels, looking over the 18th hole. I had a good sized room with an en suite containing a shower over bath arrangement. There was electric heating, TV, hot drink making facilities and a working extractor fan in the bathroom. I did not use the gym but the pool and associated facilities were very good indeed. Breakfast was quiet adequate. For 17 rooms the selection was good enough. The cooked breakfast was very good, with food being cooked to order (no buffet here with other diners messing about with food which has been there for an hour or more.) Location: Unusual setting in heavily wooded area, but in easy walking distance to the town, which suited Me well.
Reception area, eating, pool and gym facilities were in another building, so there was none of this sloping down to the pool in a bath robe or nipping off to the bar to get a drink. This was not a problem for me, but some might find it off putting. The hot drink provision at breakfast was not so good with coffee and hot water in 'Thermos' type jugs. These were not routinely topped up so it was necessary to ask for refills. Would an automatic drinks machine be more efficient? I have a suspicion that the coffee was instant. I only had one cup. My room sounded like it was under the stairs to the top floor. The noise from other guests using the stairs was quite intrusive as were conversations from the adjacent rooms. Again, not so much of a problem for me but it could be for some. I often wonder how much consideration guests give to fellow guests on such matters. The TV in the bar/café area is set to a sports channel. I suppose that this is understandable as it is a golf club, but as sport is of no interest to me I would have preferred no TV or a news channel, especially at breakfast time.
Staff - helpful Bed - big and comfy
