Staff were reasonably friendly.
Room smelt. During the night it rained and we woke up to hear water dripping onto the table. When we complained to staff they said to speak to manager. Tried times to call him but still haven't been able to speak to him. I certainly won't be going there again!
Gym facilities Room was a good size Staff friendly and helpful
Dark corridors full of men standing in the shadows talking, it felt like a halfway house Guests smoking outside the rooms so the corridors smell of smoke
The room was clean and comfortable and we were given our requested rooms near each other although not next door to each other as requested. We did book a couple of months in advance, requesting this when booking.
We arrived late afternoon and decided to eat before we started to get ready for our night out. We ordered food in the restaurant/bar of the hotel. My friends waited for at least 45 minutes for their food (5 people) and the cheese sandwich received had 2 very small pieces of cheese on. A joke really. I ordered before my friends and was brought the wrong order 4 times, taking over an hour; we ordered burger and fries?!? Each time we corrected them and each time they returned with the wrong order. It cost over £30 for x2 burger and fries and when we finally did receive what we thought was the correct food (1.5 hours after ordering) we didn't have time to eat it so we took it up to our room. We got ready and then attempted to eat our food. Again, the order was wrong!! We'd asked for no sauce but both burgers had sauce on them and we couldn't eat them. Over £30 wasted!! Plus lots of time wasted. The manager was heard 3 or 4 times ordering his bar staff, "you deal with it, I haven't got time". Yes they were busy but the lack of communication simply added to the wait we experienced!
The reception staff when I arrived was ok.
This is not an hotel , it's more like an hostel . The bathroom floor tiles had a cracks in them . The bed linen was not clean . The bed was poor broken slats . We pointed out to the manager. Smell of cannabis in the hallway. In the morning was a bad experience as your trying to get breakfast . This is cause due to the hotel is overrun by asylum seekers. Loud music from mobile phones. I have stopped in several hotels in the Birmingham area and strongly advise anybody to keep away until they address there situations. Next time I will ring the hotel and ask if there have address the situation in the new year. I felt bad having to pay for such poor services. Stay there at your own risk !!!
they gave us our money back very quickly.
1.The first room had wet mould on the walls-they moved us. 2.The second room had very, very, very dirty bed linen. We asked to have our money back.
The room and bathroom were very dirty. The bed was like sleeping on springs, quilt cover stained and pillows disgusting. Breakfast was supposed to start att 6.30am, I had to complain and ask to have the continental breakfast options put out as the staff only put cereal, dry bread and slimy ham out before 8am. I will never use that hotel again!
1st floor as requested Lovely lounge area Good value for money continental Breakfast Pleasant staff Lock on the bedroom door Efficient heating system
Room 200 has obvious large areas of damp on the walls that look horrid and it is necessary to leave the window open to disguise the smell of damp but the traffic noise was excessive. The second room that I insisted on was not properly clean, the toilet hadn't even been flushed! I was not sure if the sheets had been changed so I slept between towels! I have NO confidence in using your hotel ever again.
The shower was very good
The deco was outdated and the sheets were stained. It was horrible
Dirty bedding had to sleep on top of the quilt cover. Very lumpy matress
Large room, good shower room. plenty of parking space.
Continental breakfast was a bit basic. Very busy noisey roads outside, but that is not the fault of the hotel.
I LIKE THE RECEPTIONIST WHO WORK ON SUNDAY SHE WAS MOIST HELPFUL AND KIND THANKS.
I DID NOT LIKE HOW THE KITCHEN STAFF BEHAVE WHEN WE ARRIVED FOR BREAKFAST . ASK FOR A SPOON AND I DID NOT GET IT.
No staff turned in except a cover receptionist who tried her best to help. The chef was an hour and 15 late. There was no clean tables, cutlery or sufficient food for breakfast. We ordered boiled eggs but after waiting 30 minutes we gave up. Disgraceful.
Hotel, layout, easy to find, ideal location, friendly and helpful staff
Beds to hard
Friendly staff, the gym, good showers and well decorated rooms. The chilli buffet is excellent value for your money. The hotel is close to the m5 and therefore easy to find. Great value for money.
At the moment it difficult to get a room due to a large influx of asylum seekers.
Location good. Staff friendly and helpful. Very good buffet meal plus live entertainment.
When I went to check in I was told that they didn't have double room. (Which I had booked) the receptionist then went to make a phone call and all of a sudden there was a room. Once I got into the room it was clear it hadn't been cleaned sink was black glass bottles on the floor in the bathroom all tea and sugar was used and wrappers still on the fest kettle out. Very dirty will not be staying again!
Shiny and modern, very clean and neat. Buffet breakfast was perfect for me, a light early eater.
No telephone in room, no mini fridge to store cool drinks and no laundry service. It seems they are only catering for UK travellers staying short periods. What about international travellers staying for a longer time who need laundry and telephone facilities?
i like the place is accessible.
the tables is filthy. sticky as if it has not been cleaned. the doors are noisy visitors passing and doors slammed which creates noise.
Restaurant was excellent value and gym facilities superb
Room was too warm, if you opened the window there was lots of noise from a bar
Too hot Beds were too hard Remote didn't work Replacement batteries didn't work Had to pay £50 deposit as was paying with cash Staff didn't even know i had paid next morning and requested money had to justify to them that i had paid - quite embarassing
Good power shower
Bed springs stuck in you when in bed. Breakfast was almost non existent unless you wanted cereal, or white cardboard toast. Cup in room dirty Hair (Black) on bathroom floor. swept up but not picke up!! Corridors dirty.
Right by M5 Jct 2, easy to find and park. All staff were friendly and courteous. The room was well furnished including the bathroom. My request at 11pm for Maintenance to attend to a noisy radiator, which needed bleeding, was responded toi immediately.
Cleanliness left plenty of room for improvement! Maybe the staff are not given sufficient time to clean properly; marks, maybe spilt tea or coffee, on walls & door jamb.
Breakfast was value for money
Rooms very very basic
The rooms were dirty bathroom was unclean there was a sock over the smoke detector in the room cigerette burns everywhere, so it contavened fire regulations, fire doores were propped open with fire extinguishers hall carpets were dirty, bits of rubbish on csrpets and in corners, on top of all this it was populated with obviousley asylum seekers whoe at breakfast eat everything in site leaving no food for tax paying guests. All in all a. Ery bad experience the hotel is obviously in need of a refurbishment although the original build was of poor quality other guests we spoke to agreed and we all agreed unanimously that we would not stay there again
no side table next to bed.few bulbs out.
