Rooms very clean,a great breakfast, with very friendly staff.would stay here again.
A very damp smell when entering the room, oviousley due to a rotten bathroom floor, which felt as though it would give away at any time
The smell of stale smoke in the rooms - everything else was fine
It was a very relaxing hotel and staff were very helpful.
Very friendly staff lovely room and great breakfast
Could make dining room more cosy especially when it used as the bar at night
I loved the tea/coffee supplies. Included biscuits and hot chocolate. Who does that? Lol The breakfast was awesome for a free meal The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was just perfect!
The location. If you don't have a car, it can be a painful experience. The walk to the nearest station, Hall Green took a brisk 20 minute walk. This discouraged me from shopping because I didn't look forward to dragging my bags for that long
I was working away on business with two other lads and the huge breakfast they put on set us up for the day. The staff are very polite and helpful. There's no main meals here but there is a pub about a two minute walk away that does some brilliant and cheap food. Overall, very good.
The wifi was very poor and wouldn't connect most days.
Nice place nancy one of the staff was brilliant
Me and my wife had a exceptionally good time at the lodge the facilities were good and having the racetrack there was an added pleasure we visited the track with my parents and had a lovely time highly recommended, we come back refreshed
I have been to a lot of hotels in the last 30 years and I somewhat find it hard to except animals within a public service the only thing I was surprised with was the fact that animals are allowed to be within the premises and barking was something I did not experience on my stay there
We have previously stayed at The Lodge and once again the facilities and staff were excellent.
Wi-Fi bit hit and miss but receptionist did advise better Wi-Fi reception in public areas than in our room due to location of room. It is free Wi- Fi so not really a complaint
We have stayed here several times, the staff are always friendly & helpful. Very good value for money & the breakfasts are excellent.
Didn't like smell of the place as soon as u walked in it had a funny smell. Also it wasn't very clean I went to use the toilet in the room and it hadn't been cleaned let's just say there was something all over the pan ( not nice)
We are three generations, often travel together. Lovely to have a single bed each. Breakfast good choice of hot and cold food.Watched some of the dog racing from our own room, which was overlooking the track.
the staff were very friendly an couldnt do any more for you. The location wasnt too far from where we wanted to be.
size of the bed as it was to small and the windows didnt open wide enough the smell as you walk through the hotel. there should be laminate flooring downstairs where the pets are allowed
Family feel Very clean Comfy bed Sparkling coffee & tea makings! (with chocolate!) Great breakfast, took it to my room Friendly staff
A little dated Info needed updating re wifi etc
Excellent location for visiting Hall Green dogs. Great price and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast too included in the price.
The room had an overpowering smell of ammonia (like nappies) but I think this was connected to the fact that the flooring was new.
Friendly staff, clean rooms
No wifi and breakfast doesn't start early enough at weekends
Clean room, helpful staff
Breakfast starts too late at weekend
The receptionist who greeted us was first class. Good hotel great value for money
The fact that it was close to the dogs race track and we had a complimentary ticket.
Staff were really good and helpful.
Best position you could possibly hope for...if you want to watch greyhound racing!
great location for the dogs!!!
the staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for us, the room was very clean ,although could do with a refurb.
it was quite a bit further from the exhibition centre than we thought
The breakfast was very nice and the hotel clean and tidy.
Very dated and tired.
