Nice clean room, breakfast plenty of choice. Staff very warm and welcoming.
Great staff, good value and very pet friendly along with great location
No cooked food available but great pub and restaurant up the road that gives discount if you're staying up the road and is also pet friendly
I've worked in hotels for 11 years so I'm very picky with regards standards and facilities and this hotel meet all my expectations..
Nice new building, very clean with nice helpful staff.
Bed and pillows were an 'aquired taste', noise from the adjacent road was very noticeable as was the sound of water pipes and the footsteps of people walking about the corridors making the floor creak... They could also do with keeping certain items for the continental breakfast cool as warm yoghurt, sweaty ham and cheese are not the most appetising things in the morning...
The location of the property is fantastic and my request for an end of corridor room was given without question we were actually put in a Family room which was lovely. The staff were friendly and very helpful even providing a breakfast in a bag when we slept through our breakfast alarm.
The milk for tea/coffee etc was a little thin on the ground and the shower was pretty small for a 6ft2 rugby player but these are in no way complaints just suggestions to the establishment.
Great stay in a lovely location. Fantastic room to unwind in after a day running in the mountains. Friendly staff were very welcoming.
Modern lodge in countryside location, good sized room
No restaraunt on site only snacks served.
Expensive No English breakfast Breakfast times started too late Very uncomfortable bed - had back problems ever since my stay
Handy for a walk across the hills to Ullswater Pub down the road did nice food
Room was a little small
The lodge is designed to create modern and convenient accommodation. It has achieved this and a day out in the lakes, it's perfect to retire back to a warm clean room, with a nice cuppa from the room tea making kit and a good nights sleep for all the family. The family room is spacious and our children loved the bunk bed. This is all topped off with a really good quality continental breakfast to start you off for the next day
Can't really find a fault with this lodge. Although we tried to contact the lodge just prior to our arrival and despite calling a few times there was no answer.
the staff were very nice the place was clean and the rooms were of a good standard
the location just a little bit to far from places to eat and drink with out using the car
Clean, friendly, warm, good value and very relxed.
Everything from location to the friendliness of the staff was excellent. Flexible check in/out hours. Room was pristine in terms of cleanliness and was finished to a high standard. Hotel is extremely modern and classy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
the environment is nice. There's everything inside the room.
the window of the room is just next to a road, so it's a bit noisy when cars drove by.
breakfast was very limited.stafff didn't speek good english and we ended up paying a higher price because of a miss understanding about our stay
No viewing window, small bathroom, dogs allowed to stay in rooms
The staff were very kind.....breakfast choice was very limited...... Hope they serve hot breakfast in the winter..... Otherwise a very nice stay......
We were visiting the area to do some climbing at the Honister Via Ferrata, and found the lodge to be just what we needed for accommodation. We had a family room, and were happy with the quality of the fixings - great TV and fast WIFi. The shower room is excellent, and cleanliness was very good throughout. There is also a very useful in-room safe. The staff were friendly and helpful, and were able to accommodate a change to our booking - thank you.
The lodge is 3 or 4 miles away from the nearest town, and the nearby hotel/pub doesn't have great vegetarian choices - this is a general problem throughout the area.
No dinner. We went to the recommended pub, which we found not too great.
The location was perfect, the hotel was modern and clean
The lack of a cooked breakfast option was disappointing. The food available was limited and poor
position, rooms and breakfast.
The staff are the stars at this small hotel - very helpful and welcoming. Also appreciated the range of continental breakfast on offer.
The double room I was in (room four) was very small and wouldn't be comfortable for more than an overnight's stay. Overall, the hotel has good facilities but it is clearly lacking maintenance and TLC for such a recently built development.
Was modern, felt lovely inside and cosy, wasnt hassled for anything just easy going. would recommend even with some bad points
In the ad it looked like it was set back from everything but it was quite close to the main road which we didnt expect n at times felt like we was in a foreign country because the staff spoke a different language
The location, the style, the continental breakfast as we are not big breakfast eaters so it served our purpose. Was nice and quiet too.
The room we booked was a bit on the small side.
