Great hotel with friendly helpful staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing view of the loch. We had a lovely relaxing stay, which was just what we were looking for, in a spectacular location.

    Wonderful location Reception staff helpful

The weather was hot but the rooms were unbearable even with two fans blowing on us and we had a horrible nights sleep

The location was beautiful and the room was nice.

The staff were rude, the choice of room service was the worst I've ever seen and the meal we were served was cold and not in anyway appetising. They obviously don't know how to deal with dietary requirements!!

    The view and tranquil location.

Needs soundproofing in the lodges as the walls are very thin. Decor is a little tired.

We were given an executive room which had patio doors allowing us to let our dog in and out with ease. Also loved the fabulous food in the restaurant.

views, breakfast, pool and Jacuzzi, friendly staff (who gave me a birthday card), room, tea/coffee facilities (rarely get these abroad but it makes all the difference), tartan floors, ease of access to Glasgow yet beautiful, rural location, the loch and the beach, the friendly, unpretentious atmosphere.

Location is great on the waterfront Rooms are large and comfortable Receptionists friendly and relaxed Manager also professional and friendly Breakfast was great

Starting to look quite dated in rooms Outside of rooms with patio is shabby and unkept. No table and chairs for our unit making the patio itself useless. Bath was missing plug so could not be used Sink did not drain well Restaurant/bar service extremely slow for guests sitting on the veranda and some had zero knowledge of products being sold and little training on customer service...which is a shame. Understaffed. All our whisky's served came with sediment in every glass. Cleanliness in the bar seems an issue. Nobody was around when it came to paying the bill, bar staff rude when asked if we could pay there. Told abruptly we had to pay at the till somewhere else which was unmanned. No clear supervisor on deck exerting a friendly and controlled environment...it was all very rushed, frantic which pointed to understaffing and training deficiencies. Perhaps was just unlucky on the day, but didnt come away with a good impressed of the restaurant and bar part of the stay at all.

Loved having the fan above the bed on such a hot day. Lying in bed watching the night roll in and the colours changing out across the loch were amazing.

Missed the sign into the lodges as we came off the A82. Room was very hot but that came with the weather

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Each comprises a sauna. The views of Loch Lomond were exceptional. The breakfast was great. The staff was very good to us, even allowing us to see 2 different rooms in differ buildings before settling on one.

While this is probably not an issue for most travelers, we travel with our teen-aged daughter and we tend to be more modest in front of her and vice versa. The newer rooms have a private sauna and private toilet, but there is only a short wall separating the shower from the bedroom area - ergo, not much privacy amongst family members. The older rooms have the sauna and shower in a separate doorless room opening away from the bedroom area and a private toilet, which I find a bit more family friendly. The staff allowed us to choose the older room and all was fine, no complaints at all.
