The room was first class, view was amazing and facilities were brilliant, i proposed to my girlfriend while we stayed there and it was the perfect setting with the snow all round and amazing room
Could not fault anything about out stay
Location, Views ,staff, food was excellent
Very small point but some of the lounge furniture and seating were a bit tired
Great views, excellent location for relaxation good sized rooms, well designed with all you might need
Food in on-site restaurant could be better value,eg "average" chicken dish at nearly £18. Some of fixtures a little tired- chip out of sink, rust marks on wall at bath tap and toilet roll holder loose on toilet wall.
Lovely room with sauna and a balcony overlooking the lock.Towels, toiletries and refreshments replaced daily by friendly staff Warm on cold days and informal relaxed atmosphere. Spa and really good pool nice to relax in after a day out and about. Good evening meal
Some communal areas needed refreshing eg leak in corridor, dining chairs with worn upholstery. Breakfast variable cold buffet ok but hot food poor
Staff friendly, leisure facilities, location over loch
Wifi poor signal but it could be bonus for ppl want to disconnect from country noise and technology ;)
Really nice place. Great views. Very large room, and comfortable bed. Staff very friendly. Food very tasty.
We think they could of cleaned the balcony better as it had cigarette buts lying... Also though the bedroom was clean one of the sinks had cracks in it,also light-switch surround was cracked.
Eveything..... already looking to see when we might return. Would recommend to family and friends.
Nothing - no complaints everything was perfect.
Everything, from start to finish, great friendly staff too.
The stunning views
Couldn't see any disable access the swimming pool
Walk to the pool
Good for relaxing as not much to do at and around the lodge
We loved this hotel the minute we walked in , we were greeted with a smile , staff were very nice and friendly, the hotel was very scottish and homely, loved the room with the balcony right on the Loch, just amazing, will definitely return and really look forward to it
It's right on the loch and has beautiful views. Rooms are very clean, and if you get one of the suites in the same building as the spa facilities, they are very spacious and have balconies looking over the loch. Spa facilities are very nice. Solid breakfast.
It was a bit of a hassle to go to our room, get changed for the spa and then figure out from a fellow guest that the spa needed a 'separate key' (we weren't told about this on the check-in but instead asked whether we wanted to book a table for the dinner or not!)
Confusing billing was quoted price for set menu at restaurant then when I checked bill on checking out it was double the price.
The staff at the Lodge were incredibly friendly and nothing was a problem. Breakfast was lovely and the room was delightful - very comfortable and the private sauna was superb.
The bed was a double although there was room for a queen sized bed - but I'm really nitpicking.
I loved my room that had its own suna and the views was excellent and the staff wear very very nice and helpful would come again if the price was right
I thought the price of the drink was a bit steep sheila coatbridge
Poor service at mealtimes. The same Dirty glasses & dishes were in our corridor from the moment we arrived until we left.
Another absolutely fantastic stay at this wonderful hotel. Everything from room to staff to food to leisure facilities are first class. Had the festive menu for dinner which was lovely and definitely put us in the Christmas mood. Cant wait to book another return stay.
view from our room was tremendous . very good breakfast but shame plates were cold. Staff very helpful in all areas.
large stain on leather sofa in dining area not good.
Liked novelty of having a sauna in room. liked the room layout and balcony with views of the loch.
Although room clean, the furniture looks tired and dated. For a 4 star hotel, breakfast was poor. No yogurt, pastries or different breads. Also no porridge
We loved the beautiful location - the view from the room was spectacular. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent
The room was in need of upgrading, there was a large stain on the tiles in the bath - the glass shelf above the sink was smashed in 2 placed and quite sharp. Carpet was dirty and stained and the throw on the bed had a large stain on it. Room was very dusty.
Location, loch view, facilities, breakfast and reasonable
Cleanliness of stairs and corridors
Location and it's beautiful surroundings. Cleanliness of room.
More attention to detail, I.e replacing broken furniture. Clearing drinks from table. No bottle opener for mini bar. I would have liked a private balcony.
Friendly staff, nice views
must have a car if you want to get anywhere ! Also not many places to eat so you eat in the over priced hotel restaurant . Hmm.
Beautiful location, staff were great and the food in the restaurant was absolutley amazing. I would recomend this to everyone and we will definitely be back.
