The biggest attraction to the lodge was the location. We also enjoyed the pool and spa.
There wasn't a great atmosphere in the bar area during the day. We dined in the bar in the evening choosing from the a la carte menu, the service was extremely poor and the staff only seemed to be concerned with the guests dining in the a la carte restaurant. The room was ok but I did expect better before we arrived, in my opinion the rooms could be doing with a small refurbishment, attention to detail!! I would recommend this resort to others but I would say there is better not to far away which I would say is better value for money
We returned to a champagne reception we had our wedding breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the Loch 10 years ago
no Teddybear collection remains
Despite suffering from a nasty attack of gout I enjoyed my stay there and slept reasonably.
What a strange phenomenon: a lady bringing us to a breakfast table(one we didn't like!) and doing so with other couples and for the rest of the time doing absolutely nothing. Waste of time, money and space.
Lochside location was excellent. Village of Luss interesting.
We were in the separate Lodge block of rooms and very disappointed in the overall condition. The rooms were in serious need of refurbishment and decoration. The wooden balcony was in poor condition with far too much decayed wood and scruffy repairs. Should be much better at the price.
The locatin was superb, the hotel facilities were of a high standard ,and the staff excellent. Breakfast was well served and very good value for money.
The evening meal was very poor, few staff unacceptable meal.
Beautiful location, great rooms, nice restaurant, good SPA facilities.
The location was amazing, the rooms were comfortable and homely with good facilities.
There was no kind of privacy to the balcony next to ours and there was a family with young children trying to climb over. The staff were okay thought our stay apart from breakfast where everything was a chore
All over to soon
Smart restaurant, outstanding accommodation and beautiful position on the loch.
rooms very comfortable. views across the loch beautiful.
Hotel was in a perfect location for a relaxing get away. The room had a balcony where you could sit and over look Loch Lomond. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with it's own sauna. Excellent place to stay.
Nothing, had a great stay.
Location is stunning, view from the rooms is amazing.
Unfortunately the mini fridge in the room was not working so the drinks were warm.
Location, spacious room, friendly staff, swimming pool and great weather!
Excellent, stunning view from room.
Regular weddings made it a bit noisy at times.
Small double bed
The position of the hotel overlooking the Loch, was beautiful. The rooms are compact but quiet. The staff are friendly & helpful.
The breakfast quality for the money charged was poor, the coffee was like sump oil. Overseer at breakfast bar scrutinised staff & guests alike. The hotel may have once been 4 star, but in the room we were given; the fixtures & furnishings were looking tired & shabby. The view was the saving grace.
Location, ambiance, staff. This was our second trip with elderly parents. The staff were very helpful to ensure our parents had an easily-accessible room.
Breakfast was poor - some food overcooked
Loved the view from the room's balcony. Also the sauna was fabulous.
a little decor needs a freshen up.
The view, the quietness
Room with a balcony on the edge of the Loch was wonderful. Such a tranquil location. Great lunch menu in the bar. Friendly staff.
Cobwebs above the bed. Far too many flies in the dining room. Lacked some finishing touches I would expect for a hotel like this.
The rooms were lovely, we paid extra to have a room with a view and it was completely worth it, breathtaking views. Nice pool, sauna and steam room, lovely views from the restaurant. The manager was very nice and helpful and helped us book a speedboat trip around the loch.
Slight problem in the restaurant with the order, but the manager was extremely apologetic and we had the mains taken off the bill. It would not put me off going back as the food we had was lovely.
