Good,
Score from 61 reviews
“Felt at home there. Empahasis is golf but that did not spoil our enjoyment as non-golfers. Stayed there because of location and convenience to get to some pre planned visits. Very modern and good facilities. Good value with good restaurant food especially breakfast.”

The beds were very comfortable and the hotel were happy to accommodate a early check in for us. There was no water within the room. The reception was not manned when we returned and our lock on our room door would not work so we spent some time looking for a member of staff within the hotel to open our room.

Most friendly staff, FANTASTIC pool, Gym and Sauna, and of course the Golf course right on your doorstep. If we need to be in the area again, we'd cry if we couldn't book the Wiltshire!! Room just a little "tired" BUT in no way detracts from the overall total enjoyment of the establishment. More staff (excellent though they were) would be helpful at breakfast time.

1) Room was generally grubby/worn (116) particularly the bathroom. I could not bring myself to take a shower because the showerhead was too dirty; 2) food was very average. A request for "No carrots" was ignored so food had to be taken back. Had to pre-book our courses, and the starters included "Soup of the Day" without saying what it was; 3) bed was too soft; 4) staff kept disappearing (bar / restaurant / breakfast room)

We only used the pool which the kids had lots of fun in. The breakfast was good with plenty of chose, and as much as you can eat. As we had children we were unable to use the pool before 10am and after 5pm giving the prime time to the golfers, and Adults only which was a pain if you had plans to be out and about. The bathroom while clean was looking a bit tired, otherwise no real problems.

I liked the pool complex with the sauna and steam room especially. The location was lovely and easy to get to.The paintings, photographs and small displays along the corridors and in the main areas were interesting enough to stand and view them. Breakfast was good. I felt the staff could have been more welcoming and experienced in dealing with the paying customer.

Having Stayed at the Wiltshire on previous occasions for two single week conferences it was a natuaral choice. I found everything comfortable and good. The food was not very good compared to previous occasions. It was very microwaved and dry and not very good. But that was probably due to shortage of staff on that night.

The staff were very friendly, attentative, professional, quick. The food was delicious. Golf course is great. Restaurant lacked comfort, cold atmosphere, seemed a bit like a road side service station during the evening.

Very convenient for us to stay with our Grandson who lives in Wootton Bassett. Can I especially mention the girl on the bar on Friday evening - think her name was Sonya or something - she was exceptionally friendly and chatty. Possibly the cold bathroom - not really a complaint!

Staff very helpful and friendly Heating in room 110 was difficult to use. If it was on a timer, there was nothing to say so, and it only appeared to work during the evening.
