The staff were friendly, the location excellent and the food was good The building is a bit tired. The link from bar/restaurant to reception needs improving - we could easily have left without paying for our food and drink.

Helpfull staff member on checking in - room very basic but at least was warm Room very basic - facilities are more comparable to a youth hostel.breakfast was appalling - option was white or brown loaf - butter but no jams / marmelade - only cereal was cornflakes. Very keen for you to pay for a cooked breakfast ( which we didnt) seemed like a deliberate policy of not providing food so that you would pay the additional cost. Other guests were all of the same opinion.- Whilst we were eating other guests came in the room and asked where they should sit , to be told 'where ever there is a clean table' - there were @ 15 tables - only one was clean. On leaving it was also suggested we had not paid for our evening meal - until we showed the till and visa receipt - would never stay again

Extremelly dog friendly accomodation, plus an excellent staff service. Very friendly and helpful.Furthermore it is in a great wildlife location. I believe it is very pricy and it is not worth the money. There is not drinkable water in the rooms, which is from my point of view, not acceptable. Furthermore, the breakfast is very poor what I would not expect for £85/room

Staff and location where great, this is an outdoor sports/walkers hotel not a Spa and with that in mind it was ideal. Women folk said the dining area could have been a little warmer (mid November).

I did not like anything about the place, it was a huge disappointment. Staff unfriendly, layout not good, very smelly, dirty and unclean, no shower facility, bath badly stained and not fit for use, toilet faulty with constant drip that kept overflowing, no facility for hanging clothes I.E. wardrobe, chest of drawers couldnt be used as they were unclean inside drawers, windows in room black with rot and mould, dampness apparent in room, badly fitting door for entrance to room needed forceful pushing and pulling to open and close, no tumbler in bathroom, no guest soap/toiletries provided, when booking were advised breakfast included but what they did not make clear that this was only cereal and toast and that hot breakfast was £6.95 extra pp! I did complain to staff but they were unconcerned and offered no recompense.

Nice big lounge and bar to hang out in. Lovely peaceful location. The lodge seemed a bit basic and run down for what we paid. There was no shower in the room, just a bath which had some funny green stains on it. The room smelt a bit damp. The cups in our room had not been cleaned from the stay before which was a bit off- putting. It would have been fine if it was a backpackers for £15-20 pppn but at £90 for a room for 3, we felt it was overpriced.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. The room was comfy and clean and the views were great. It was also very affordable. While I'm aware that the Cabin is frequently used by stag and hen parties I think there needs to be a balance struck between them having a good time and consideration for other guests. I stayed with my wife and two young girls aged 5 and 6. We were subjected to loud drunken karaoke until well after 1am as well as people frequently chopping wood directly outside our bedroom window. This kept us awake. The thin walls didn't help. This was also at a time when your alcohol licence had expired so in theory nobody should have been that drunk, particularly as people are informed not to drink their own alcohol. While I enjoy a party and I'm the last person to knock stag/hen weekends, my suggestion would be to notify guests at the time of booking so that they are aware and can decide whether they stay or not. The other option is to exert a tighter control over stag/hen parties. Partying well into the night is fine but not loud karaoke. This was the only thing that put a bit of a dampener on a perfectly good weekend.

The bar facilities were pleasant and the manager Sarah was very proactive and helpful. The other staff also were helpful Unfortunately the rooms were double rooms made into three person rooms with a folding down bed which was not comfortable and limited use for an adult. The lights were not functional on our first night and the shower did not work as there was an electrical problem with the fuse board. My friends room which also housed 3 persons had no lights working and they had to use their mobile phones to find their way to the toilet in the dark. The following day there was no hot water available for washing and shaving. My biggest concern is that they had taken payment for the whole group form my visa card without my permission prior to us leaving. We had intended to pay as individuals by another means The accommodation for what we had was very overpriced and we could have had comfortable B&B for £30 pppnight. This facility definitely need to get its act in order or it will receive further bad reviews which will put other off using the center

Nae limits was excellent. The staff were great and the accomodation was just what we needed. They were totally set up for a very young family and very accomodating too. The rooms at the lodge are going to be upgraded as they are tired. But everything was clean and still in good condition. I imagine when they have updated the rooms the cabin will be even more value for money. Would definatley stay again Nothing really...just the rooms are ready for an update

Me and my boyfriend stayed the weekend at the "Nae Limits Log Cabin" for his 21st birthday. When we arrived on the Friday, the staff couldnt have been more welcoming and friendly. The room we stayed in wasnt the biggest but was ideal for the amount of time we spent in it. It was clean and fresh on arrivial also. On the Saturday we did "Quad Biking" and the Sunday "White Water Rafting". After a couple of adventure packed days the Log Cabin was a very relaxing environment to come back to and put your feet up with the bar at arms length. It really did feel like you were at your own home! :) It wasnt a mojor problem, but the walls of the Log Cabin are very thin and therefore you could hear alot of movement from the people in the next room :)

A great family friendly hotel set in beautiful countryside. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the kids loved the novelty of staying in a 'wooden room'. Great lounge and bar area with lots for children to play and socialise at night in the toy area. Would definitely go back.

The hotel rooms are very clairaudient, you hear basically everything. Rome size and equippment is ok, the showers (esp. shower curtain) are a bit moldy because of wood cunstruction and missing ventilation power. Staff seems to be students, friendly, but not well trained. I had to ask 2 times for the ordered side salad and bread; in the end I got 2 slices of bread although the restaurant was almost empty. At least I got my beer for free.

The setting and location were fantastic. This hotel was extremely poor value for money. We paid £80 for a family room, however, it turned out this was for a room without a shower - only a very old bath, without even a shower attachment! This was not a good start, but what was worse was the poor and measley breakfast. There was only a choice of two cereals and toast - no fruit or pastries in the continental - although we thought a full breakfast was included as this was not stated at time of booking!! I have complained to managment and have waited all week for a phone call that was arranged, but this is still not forthcoming. This is a embarasment of a hotel as it seems that they are trying to capitalise on our wonderfull highland hospitality for very little effort. I am embarrassed to be Scottish and to think that there are hoteliers still trying to to make a quick pound from poor unsuspecting tourists. I will not be staying again and will also take every opportunity to inform others.
