Location was very convenient and easy to get to. The views from the property were spectacular. Food was also very good with many choices for breakfast. Room smelt musty. I believe this was because the bathroom had carpet floor covering.

Staff were awesome, food excellent, views superb. Wasnt the best time of year to view the gardens so cant really comment on that. And the hotel really need to have words with the big man about all that wind!!!! Only joking...hard to find anything to critise. Breakfast staff need to ask how well you like your eggs cooked. But thats really nit picking.

The breakfast was great both mornings we stayed. The staff were very attentive. The whole surrounding area was very beautiful. We stayed a Friday & Saturday night the first night was a bit noisy with young people in the bar drinking once they left at 12.30 am it was quiet

One of the very nicest places we have ever visited. The staff was remarkably helpful and pleasant, and the place had a quiet class that we thought might no longer exist at a moderate b&b.

The hotel was clean, the bedroom and bathroom were very spacious, the location very peaceful and the breakfast excellent. Much attention has been paid to detail! We paid a little more than we had been used to paying in the uk but were upgraded to a better room (room 2)as the hotel was not full. It was closing for the season the day after we left. The staff were helpful and friendly but not in your face. The countryside was beautiful but unfortunately many walking paths were muddy and slippery. We were able to walk to Port Isaac from the hotel and leave the car behind. There is plenty of parking in the hotel grounds. This was important to us. We noticed that the carpet in the bathroom next to the shower/bath was quite damp obviously from water splashing from the shower. It was not musty or mouldy smelling but is something that needs attention in the future. The television set was far too small for the size of the room.

The location and setting were superb, it was very relaxing with direct access to lovley walks. The food was wonderful, we tried all the breakfast options and everything was cooked to perfection and served very efficiently, the evening meals were to die for, we had intended to book a table at rick steins restaurant in padstow but didn't bother as the standard in the hotel was so high! We loved the fact that we could abandon the car for a few days but when we wanted a bit of the shopping experiance nearby wadebridge proved a very satisfying outlet with a good selection of unique and practical shops and a fantastic traditional cinema! we could hear the people above us walking around and talking as i don't think there was much insulation between the floors which were wooden.

Spacious rooms. Good food. Very friendly staff. Close proximity to Port Isaac and the Coastal Path. Not enough staff on leading to lengthy wait for dinner. On one evening we waited 10 minutes and werent even offered a drink, so we left and ate in Port isaac. But to keep things in proportion our stay was 80%good 20% bad.

The staff were very friendly. The facilities offer comfortable beds and nice size rooms. The dinner we ordered was excellent and service was above average. There was a varity of main entrees and some chef specials. Beakfast was individualluy prepared. There is ample parking. I wish I could visit in spring to see the gardens in bloom. Great view from the porch. It was a little hard to find, but worth it after we arrived.

Beautiful location even though we were seeing it in very wet weather. The gardens are wonderful. All the food was delicious. All in all a very comfortable stay towards the end of a walking week on the South West Coast Path. Some revellers were making a huge amount of noise until the early hours of the morning.
