The hotel was clean and quiet. The owners of the hotel who also run the hotel could not have treated me better. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who just wants an hotel; I do not normally make recommendations! |

The room was freezing cold for 2 nights despite complaints to the management. The shower did not work properly also not rectified by management. We complained and were asked to leave! We did with pleasure.Customer focus is not a priority at this hotel and be warned you have to sign a form when you arrive which effectively gives the hotel owners permission to charge your card wether you are satisfied with your stay or not. |

Lovely hotel in the centre of town. The whole experience was very nice, the owners were friendly and attentive, the rooms renovated to a very high standard and the food was really very good. They deserve to have a full house both in the hotel and in the resteraunt. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend. |

Wi- Fi is very good. This isn't a hotel, it is a guest house trying to be a hotel. Breakfast starts at 8.30 too late for a business type person, who needs to be on the road. |

There was a very relaxing and calm atmosphere at the hotel and the staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. The room, though small, had everything in it: tea/coffee making facilities (and cookies), hairdryer, comfy bed and super shower room. We only ate breakfast there but it was really superb. |

Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, excellent food in both restaurant and bar, very good selection for breakfast. Staff friendly without being intrusive. Overall a very enjoyable two night break. Car park is a bit tight particulaly if guests do not park sensibly but this is not a major drawback. Shower screen on the bath is not totally adequate for the type of shower but this is a bit nitpicking. |

The feeling of warmth and comfort together with the outstanding quality of food was impeccable. We were absolutely delighted with all the staff we met, the cleanliness of the room was faultless and they really do deliver first class food. The 'Bar Food' was far better than some meals ive eaten in top London restaurants and therefore the term 'Bar Food' didnt do it justice!!! |

Comfotable rooms, nicely equiped and with very new and commendable bath/shower rooms. A good friendly style, and with very good food. We were delighted and felt that we had lucked out on this choice. (Selected on the internet, Grange-over-Sands being our target.) Could have done with stronger bulbs at the bedside, being bedtime readers! But that is almost universal now as hotels seek economies. |

Very friendly staff, always willing to help. Room exceptionally clean and decorated to a high standard. High point of hotel is the first class food, presented beautifully!! We eat out regularly and have never experienced such wonderful food. Even after dinner coffee came with homemade petit fours which were superb! Highly recommend this hotel. Fantastic!! |

A perfect hotel for a short or longer break in the Lake District. It is within driving distance of the mountains but with a peaceful sea location. The food at the hotel is of a very high standard as is the service and accommodation. Recommended! |

A quiet, peacefull time was had just sitting and letting the world go by. It was a something of a task going for walks due to the hilly nature of the area, but all in all very enjoyable. IT was a bit difficult at times due to the lack of facailities for the handicapped. Getting into the hotel for instance, with a suitcase. |
