A very welcoming hotel, very nice hostess. Traveled with my little lasa paso dog, and was very welcomed. Would visit again and highly recommend this hotel. A great stay.

not much happening in Grange no Sands but a nice place with plenty of things to do nearby!

We had a wonderfully relaxing time, exactly what we'd looked for and Kevin & Andrea and their team could not have been more welcoming. It was great to have our labrador with us, I think she'd have liked us to move in permanently, but I couldnt afford to - the food's much too good! The choice at breakfast was extensive and the quality of the food was very good - we ate dinners there too - the menu has more than enough choice and is really well presented. Its well located in the town, and there is lots of good walking nearby. We spent a fair bit of time at RSPB Leighton Moss, which is only a few miles away. We'll definately be back.

Everything was excellent as a business person looking for a friendly feel hotel this is perfect.

The booking.com asked for my credit card info when booking the room so I thought the fee had been charged. However the staff asked me to pay when I checked out...so it was confusing.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of this beautiful house that had been decorated to such a high standard. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The evening meal was delicious.

The only negative for me was the great flight of steps up to the front door- but then I am always being told to travel light.

Quality accomodation at a reasonable price, breakfast quality and choice excellent, would stay again when in the area and sample the evening menu.

This is one of the best. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and the food is truly excellent, both at dinner and breakfast. There is free wifi, proper milk for tea and coffee in the room, an excellent location and free off street parking

The personal attention of the owners. The breakfasts were amazing and the food in the downstairs Bistro was excellent.

Clean, cosy, easy to find, good parking available, great breakfast excellent poached eggs! Very welcoming and helpful, the room was great really comfy bed and excellent facilities. I came down for a couple of days for work and felt like I was going home each night, wish I had time to try a evening meal. I loved the fact I'd come back and there was a flask of milk left out side my room for me so I could make my self a hot chocolate for tea before bed. The room was exceptional clean and the building itself was fantastic. Overall it was perfect and would definitely stay again!

Clean, bright, pleasant staff, excellent food

A splendid Victorian property tastefully converted and modernised to the highest standards. The decor is perfect in natural, soft shades and every little detail is managed with care. My single room was spacious and spotless; the bathroom was beautifully appointed (with a bath too!) and the bed very comfortable and cosy. Dinner was excellent - I tried the game pie - and the breakfast choice was extensive including kippers. The hotel offers free car parking, free WiFi and a pleasant lounge. I can't sing its praises highly enough.

Staff not very welcoming. The room though tidy was not as good as I expected having read the hotels reviews. No offer of taking up an evening meal, its supposed to cook excellent food. Breakfast was disappointing, really hard sausages. The yogurt was at least the best part. Overpriced and my request for a room with a good view was the main road. 1 nights stay for a double room was £90.00 Surprised at the many positive guest reviews the hotel has recieved.

Very friendly helpful staff, small well run hotel, rooms spotlessly clean and very tastefully modernised. We paid extra to stay in a superior room which was very spacious. Fabulous breakfast, we didn't get chance to sample the restaurant food in the evening, but the menu and gourmet food looked excellent. Nice hotel for a quiet relaxing break, which is what we needed. Would stay again.

Noise from kitchen fans, but that stopped at 9pm. Other than that, could not fault it.

The owner (Andrea) was exceptionally thoughtful, it was clear that every detail was carefully thought about. The chef owner (Kevin) is clearly exceptional, the breakfast, Bistro meal and Fine Dining meal was extremely tasty and well presented. This hotel is faultless with this husband and wife partnership.

The Lymehurst is very central in Grange and from entry through to the room is quality. Lymehurst is a large house which has been sympathically updated whilst keeping the features as befiited a property of it's age. I found my room clean, spacious, furniture in excellent order, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with a gently heated stone floor, super shower and huge fluffy towels along with nice touches. As an example, real milk with the tea and coffee tray, not plastic pots or sticks of uht. Breakfast is freshly cooked and 100% spot on. In the basement, another relaxing and welcoming space, is a bar and meals are available until late. There is a seperate restaurant if you want formality but I found the bar very pleasant indeed. The owners have obviously spent a great deal of time and thought into what they would like if they were guests and the result is one that wishes them all the best. I recommend the Lymehurst to you.

Two minor points, a sample menu in the hotel information would tempt guests to eat at the Lymehurst and a larger size duvet, say 4' size would stop it "getting lost" during the night.

On arrival we (dog included) received a very warm welcome and although we were only staying one night, we were made very welcome. Our room was very clean, as was the whole hotel. The food wad absolutely amazing - an interesting and thoughtful menu cooked beautifully. The breakfast was excellent value - a wide and varied choice of fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts and home made pastries, aswell as toast, cereal etc to begin, then a choice of different cooked breakfasts, including fish and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs - delicious! There is also a bar, bistro and restaurant, all offering different food depending on what mood you are in if you are staying for longer. The hotel is excellent value for money and I would definetly stay again if I was in the area. Highly recommend!

Someone getting rid of bottles at 1.30 a.m! Other guest making a noise in the early hours. Very inconsiderate but not unusual in hotels.

Really lovely Hotel, so comfortable. Great staff, really welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Even provide a flask with ice cold mile for Tea. Definately would recommend.
