Pub grub and friendliness of staff,
Decor of Room was a bit different but comfortable.
I confirmed a month befoe the booking so we could check in at 11.00am as we were attending a wedding, I phoned the night before also to confirm an early check in and parking. We arrived at 11.45am THE ROOM WAS NOT READY. Failure
Fumny rooms .Great location and good staff quirky really enjoyed our stay look forward to returning soon.
Very quirky decor with clashing wallpapers and lovely bright pinks and purples on sofa and chairs. Needed sunglasses but good fun. Room warm and cosy. Good shower. Very clean
Garden lights on all night shone through glass doors. Music on Fri and Sat very noisy although we had booked a quiet room. Missing light bulbs made room a bit dark.
The location itself and easy access to other local attractions and towns. Staff were great and very helpful, including a free room upgrade in response to a minor issue with our original room. Overall excellent.
Very boutique style. Loved the slipper bath and spiral staircase. Rooms were very clean and smart with lots of little extras included. Nice views of the river. Evening meal and breakfast were lovely and children were well catered for too. Will def return when in the area
It was Halloween and music was exceptionally loud which kept the baby awake. But we knew about this when we booked - can't complain!
Room was clean and tidy, great location, Great b'fast, Overall a good stay apart from the power issue.
Waking up to no electric, no shower and nothing working in room. Staff didn't seem to bothered or offer somewhere to get washed and ready for the day.
The feel of the place was very welcoming. The room we had was lovely.
The pillows were uncomfortable. Not much choice for breakfast. I took my 9 year old granddaughter for a short trip and the cereal options were poor I thought for a child.
Lovely staff Room well equipped Good breakfast
Decor over powering, not relaxing. Bed not the best but I slept! Would benefit from a decent padded mattress cover. Bottom sheet too small.
Decorated with a real quirky but pleasing style. Food was very enjoyable. The location looking over the river is wonderful.
Room 6 has a two major faults, both window related. 1) The window would not close properly. Hence LOTS of spiders on our arrival. I put three of them out all from off the inside of the window. My wife was nervous all night. The open window meant that the drunks passing by could be clearly heard by us even when they were just talking. 2) No blackout This was a major issue. There is a really big lamppost less than a metre from the window. So the room was lit up like it was daytime. (We put up a blanket to improve things) I strongly suggest you use rooms other than room 6
The live band "Fruit Machine" were brilliant and the bar layout is great. Evening meal beautiful. Rooms are qwerkie and very comfy.
A little pricy on the evening meal although quality was great.
The decor quirky but fun the staff were freindly and helpfull. The food was excellent the breakfast was varied the guests could choose just about what they wanted. The bar served real ales kept to perfection full marks alround will stay again next time I am in town
Fantastic location for anyone visiting Ironbridge. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and very interestingly decorated. I loved it! Staying again
Wifi bit hard to get in the room which was needed as had no signal on my phone but had such a good time it was hardly noticed
Very friendly staff - lovely room - a mix of very old & very new which seemed to fit together seamlessly - a veggie sausage wouldn't have gone amiss but still a nice breakfast - a great place to stay - would definitely stay again & recommend to others
nothing not to like
The food was very good well worth it.
Loved the quirkiness of the place, fun decor. Enjoyed the live music.
Breakfast a tad rushed, supposed to be until 10am but staff clearing away before 10!!
A friendly welcome, the room was excellent, fun and quirky, also very clean. The towels were replaced daily, which I didn't expect on a 2 night stay. Breakfast was hot and well cooked and plentiful. An enjoyable stay, thank you.
the shower was a little temperamental, it took careful balancing of the hot and cold water, but the pressure was excellent.
No shower?? Weak internet Zero phone reception. Not exactly the hotels fault but be advised
Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly member of staff who informed us we had been upgraded to the Garden Suite in newer part of building. To say the room is colourful and quirky is an understatement, love the decor, and it was very clean and well furnished with a very modern ensuite bathroom.Staff are very pleasant and helpful, will definitely stay again.
Very old building. Rooms with character!!! Food very good and a full English breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely clean bedding, clean loo.view of the river..food was good.staff friendly, would stay again
Loved the quirky colours of the rooms. Evening Meal and breakfast were fab.
Good parking with close proximity to Ironbridge museums & attractions. The discounted price delivered great value for money and our evening meals were excellent, with quality ingredients and generous portions. Breakfast was fairly basic and a bit chaotic on the day we stayed but the Malt House is a pub with accommodation rather than a hotel with traditional service. We would certainly recommend it at the price we paid but perhaps not worth the full rate.
We were in the pink room, which had the worst quality pillows we've ever slept on - so unfortunately had a poor night's sleep. As some previous reviewers commented, the wall mounted T.V. was tiny but this was not a problem for us as we only stayed one night. Some minor repairs are needed to improve the overall presentation of the room (holes in bathroom door where there used to be robe hooks, badly scuffed paintwork on bedroom walls.) Our attention was drawn to these details because the decor is so bold we spent the first 5 minutes examining the quirky interior! However, both issues could be resolved quickly & cheaply.
An excellent evening meal in the restaurant albeit a little on the pricey side. It was a Saturday night with a noisy band but we were offered and accepted a room in the annex away from the noise.
The turquoise room in the annex was very small with no seats to watch the very small TV in, only the bed and no cupboard or drawer space. This room really should only be for single occupation. As a double, one night is enough!
