Score from 436 reviews Very good
Very nice place with friendly staff. I do recommend.
Breakfast was very good.
Water tank as we were in attic.
Nothing was too much trouble
Too many stairs
The staff were very nice, the breakfast was enjoyable. The beds were comfortable.
Lovely staff, excellent breakfast.
Next door hotel a bit noisy.
The view from the bedroom, and the decor of the room. TV in room. Variety of breakfast menu with option to have either or both continental and English breakfast.
Dirty balcony. Bathroom far from the bedroom (on different floor) and had to be shared between a number of other guests. Toilet was located in shared bathroom so couldn't use it if other guests were in the shower. Loud music during breakfast which was located in the bar.
The owner was helpful but didn't see any other of the staff.
Matresses kept sliding off the beds, disturbed sleep through running water from other rooms down the pipes through the levels.
Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast excellent cooked fresh to order. Lovely guest house would definitely go back again
the food was excellent and Helen and Simon were excellent hosts. The location was spot on. The guest house was very clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone and I will be returning
Not good access if disabled or poor at walking
Location Comfortable Bed Lovely Breakfast
Small room Tiny bathroom Room very stuffy Pool of water on toilet seat from leak in bathroom ceiling Woken up by noisy plumbing from next door room Bath towels too small
It was all ok had a good time room was clean and tidey
the breakfast was nice but the waiter was a young boy who did not have a clue people was waiting 4 a table and he just letf all the crockery on the tables he needs retraning but other wise no problem.
Loved it all
Staff and Owner (Helen) were lovely people and very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and very fresh. Location wise it was nice to be close to the beach but not too close to the main strip. If we went back to Margate we would certainly use them again.
Unfortunately the shower had very poor pressure but the building is victorian and was slightly difficult to get the temperature right.
facilities and price
the man in the next room's television, then his loud phone conversation
The staff were lovely and couldn't be more helpful and the breakfast (I had the vegetarian option) was excellent. Very good value for the money and to those who have complained about the place I would say if you choose the cheapest but expect the best you may well be disappointed.
Nice quiet location, close to lovely walks along the cliffs. Luckily a fair distance from Margate, which is not my favourite place. We wanted to visit Botany Bay and Deal. The Blues Grill provided and excellent meal at a very reasonable price. We had a beautiful sea view from our window.
Hot water tap in our bathroom sink did not work.
Had a great time and the beach, lido and winter gardens is close by.
Wow, the breakfast, the owners, the dinner everything but the stairs really! Location was fab, lovely views xxxx
The stairs! But we were informed beforehand, but probably not best if travelling with little ones.
Friendly hosts, nice breakfast, good location
Nothing, but the room was a little bit small and the bathroom a bit run down, but they are tiny niggles, if we came back to Margate we would stay again!
Friendly owners. Nice bright room.
Great Breakfast Blues bar Seem very friendly
Room seemed basic Cost for room and b&b location I'm sure you'll get better
The breakfast was lovely and the staff were pleasant
Needed mountain boots and an oxygen tank to get from the dining area to our room (5 floors!) The room was shabby and in desperate need of a lick of paint but clean enough. The bathroom, however, was dirty, full of cobwebs and had a stained shower tray and desperately needed re-grouting. The biscuits provided in our room were three weeks past their sell-by date!
Very convenient for visiting the Turner Gallery - only a few minute's walk along the seafront. Also near to the "old town" with a good choice of restaurants.
