Good position and clean. Good for the price. Apparently run by a 14 year old. He did ok but would be better dealing with adults especially when paying. Breakfast turned up after 45 minutes and it wasn't at all busy.

Very cheap! Also quite quirky and old-fashioned - might not be to everyone's tastes but feels like it hasn't changed forever which at least is not pretentious! Get what you pay for but quite cosy! Only member of staff we saw was a young boy... But he was working very hard! So well done him! The place wasn't particularly clean and there wasn't a particularly friendly welcome from anyone - not sure about the "come as guests, leave as friends" sign on the wall?!

The position of the hotel is good and parking is free and easy The double room with sea view was very shabby and the furniture looked tired and old. I feared to walk barefoot on carpet and electric shower was ineffective and not hot enough. It was noisy and badly run /14 year old boy dragging his feet to serve breakfast and I don t blame him as the place was really depressing. Breakfast was ghastly /we spotted hint of mould on bread. When we left the lady didnt even bother to ask how was it ? as if she knew already the answer. One of the worst places I ever stayed in and not cheap considering what you get.

The hotel was in a good location. There was no toilet roll in our room when we arrived and we couldn't find or contact a member of staff to bring us some so we had to buy our own. Likewise, when we wanted to check out and return our key there was no one around and we had to knock for 10 minutes before someone came to see us. We could not get through on the mobile number provided.

I needed to stay in clifftonville to visit friends who were moving to australia who were having a party. The bed/matress was appalling it must have been 20 yrs old. The towels if that is what you can call them I would say rags and dirty. The building is old and creeky floor are exceptable but doors that creek and need oiling is not good. the share shower room was dirty and shower head was not working we did not stay for breakfast because we just need to escape fast

Did the job. We were down for the half-marathon and this was cheapest hotel between train station and start point. The bar was closed and it was a trek to find food as we arrived fairly late. Little thing to consider is the flat screen tvs in the bedrooms, you can't see the screen properly lying in bed!

To tell the truth, only view out of the windows were good. All the impressions of being in the town were made by that awful hotel: 1.at the reception there was nobody, 2.such narrow corridors that we, not overweigt people with small luggege, hardly were able to move (no lift), 3. dirty room and bathroom with some strange hairs, no towels at all 4. not clean bed linen and SAND IN THE BED!

Clean & close enough to walk into town but far enough out to remain quiet at night Breakfast service slow mostly due to being run by family sons. Never saw the owners.

All I can say there is more I want to say below than here. The blues brother theme is good, however only got to see it at breakfast. Only good points the views, the room had everything you hopefully needed. Picture was good. So the room was good. But not the service. What I didn't like. When taken to the room when discussing at the bottom of the starts I thought I wasnt allowed to go anywhere, I wasn't taken inside other than there is your room. It was explained when the door opens for downstairs the breakfast would be served. No reception to be seen. The morning after, breakfast ? When meeting the person who I took to be the owner said very few words, morning what would you like, tea coffee, juice, help yourself. That was it. No other words. With breakfast note you either have cook breakfast or cearal. If cearal then you get your bowl. You can't have both. Asking when paying to go why the bar was not open was told management away. Peak season would of made a bit of money.

Breakfast was adequate, staff was pleasant and helpful especially the young man left in charge. No where to get a meal in the evening even though a grill was descibed on the web and no bar due to the owners being away and also being locked out due to a faulty lock. The en-suite was badly stained overall, the skirting and pipework could have been cleaner to give a good impression. The towels could have been better and various bedwear needed attention via needle and cotton. First impressions, general attention to detail would improve things.
