The room itself was nice Lovely view in the morning
Hotel Ower not inviting Not friendly Single bed you could feel spring in matress
The hotel is based in a fairly central location.
We turned up for breakfast and there was no breakfast and no staff available to speak with. The number given to guests to ring in an emergency went straight to voicemail in every of the 12 times we called. After 30 mins of waiting we went to get our bags to check-out. When we returned, one staff had arrived and was getting breakfast ready. When we asked to be checked-out, he replied by asking how we were going to pay. No apologies, no explanation, no interest in how our stay had gone.., nothing! He even had the cheek to ask us for the full cost of our room, even though we didn't get the breakfast we paid for. When I insisted on a discount, he grudgingly offered one, and his attitude made that very clear. I'm absolutely puzzled how any business can expect to thrive, with such poor customer service.
Free tea, coffee and biscuits; TV; balcony; seafront view; bed quite comfy.
Separate toilet and bathroom down one flight of stairs; didn't feel very clean.
Seaview location & room was very comfortable and clean.
A bit costly, £100 for 1 night, but it was a late booking so I suspect that may be the reason.
Spot on place to stay can't complain
Very nice place with friendly staff. I do recommend.
Breakfast was very good.
Water tank as we were in attic.
Nothing was too much trouble
Too many stairs
The staff were very nice, the breakfast was enjoyable. The beds were comfortable.
Lovely staff, excellent breakfast.
Next door hotel a bit noisy.
The view from the bedroom, and the decor of the room. TV in room. Variety of breakfast menu with option to have either or both continental and English breakfast.
Dirty balcony. Bathroom far from the bedroom (on different floor) and had to be shared between a number of other guests. Toilet was located in shared bathroom so couldn't use it if other guests were in the shower. Loud music during breakfast which was located in the bar.
The owner was helpful but didn't see any other of the staff.
Matresses kept sliding off the beds, disturbed sleep through running water from other rooms down the pipes through the levels.
Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast excellent cooked fresh to order. Lovely guest house would definitely go back again
the food was excellent and Helen and Simon were excellent hosts. The location was spot on. The guest house was very clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone and I will be returning
Not good access if disabled or poor at walking
Location Comfortable Bed Lovely Breakfast
Small room Tiny bathroom Room very stuffy Pool of water on toilet seat from leak in bathroom ceiling Woken up by noisy plumbing from next door room Bath towels too small
It was all ok had a good time room was clean and tidey
the breakfast was nice but the waiter was a young boy who did not have a clue people was waiting 4 a table and he just letf all the crockery on the tables he needs retraning but other wise no problem.
Loved it all
Staff and Owner (Helen) were lovely people and very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and very fresh. Location wise it was nice to be close to the beach but not too close to the main strip. If we went back to Margate we would certainly use them again.
Unfortunately the shower had very poor pressure but the building is victorian and was slightly difficult to get the temperature right.
facilities and price
the man in the next room's television, then his loud phone conversation
The staff were lovely and couldn't be more helpful and the breakfast (I had the vegetarian option) was excellent. Very good value for the money and to those who have complained about the place I would say if you choose the cheapest but expect the best you may well be disappointed.
Nice quiet location, close to lovely walks along the cliffs. Luckily a fair distance from Margate, which is not my favourite place. We wanted to visit Botany Bay and Deal. The Blues Grill provided and excellent meal at a very reasonable price. We had a beautiful sea view from our window.
Hot water tap in our bathroom sink did not work.
