wifi and breakfast was ok.
Excuse was that the cleaning staff and the cooking staff were on holiday. Theowners too apparently, Nothing had been updated since about 1970.
Very friendly owner, went through a lot of trouble to sort out a room for us when for some reason he did not get the booking confirmation from Booking.com.
The cleanliness of the room was not up to standard and we even found pubic hairs in the bathroom which was disgusting. The shower pressure is really bad and I just gave up after a few minutes of ice cold and scalding hot water. The shower plughole was completely blocked. The price is way too high for what you actually get. Heating was not switched on and it was really cold, when the heating was eventually on, it was a luke warm radiator which did not help, but found a plug in electric heater in the room. I think a lot of work needs to be done to charge the price they do.
Fair trade products. Very quiet room.
Very low pressure in shower and difficult to get the temperature right. Heating was not working at all... Extremely cold during the winter night. No wifi inside my room.
I was unhappy that breakfast was not included in the price. What a rip off
My room was a very generous sized single room with a comfortable bed and a lovely view. I had a wash basin but no bathroom (as described in the details) and which accounted for the excellent price I paid. Very warm room on a cold winter's night, with door opening on to a balcony for fresh air if needed. This would be great in the summer.
For the price I paid, I would not comment on anything. It had what I needed for a single person who was not worried about having an ensuite room.
Fair trade products. Good location. Very quiet. Very good value
Low pressure in shower and difficult to get the temperature right. Sink in room could have been cleaner, but the proprietor had kindly upgraded me free of charge to a bigger room and it may not have been prepared.
Room was clean
Didn't like no hot water no heating in room
Clean basic room.
No heating.......tight owner never put heating on despite it being minus outside...unbelievable! Breakfast not included despite it being a B &.
All exccelent !!!
The room itself was nice Lovely view in the morning
Hotel Ower not inviting Not friendly Single bed you could feel spring in matress
The hotel is based in a fairly central location.
We turned up for breakfast and there was no breakfast and no staff available to speak with. The number given to guests to ring in an emergency went straight to voicemail in every of the 12 times we called. After 30 mins of waiting we went to get our bags to check-out. When we returned, one staff had arrived and was getting breakfast ready. When we asked to be checked-out, he replied by asking how we were going to pay. No apologies, no explanation, no interest in how our stay had gone.., nothing! He even had the cheek to ask us for the full cost of our room, even though we didn't get the breakfast we paid for. When I insisted on a discount, he grudgingly offered one, and his attitude made that very clear. I'm absolutely puzzled how any business can expect to thrive, with such poor customer service.
Free tea, coffee and biscuits; TV; balcony; seafront view; bed quite comfy.
Separate toilet and bathroom down one flight of stairs; didn't feel very clean.
Seaview location & room was very comfortable and clean.
A bit costly, £100 for 1 night, but it was a late booking so I suspect that may be the reason.
Spot on place to stay can't complain
Very nice place with friendly staff. I do recommend.
Breakfast was very good.
Water tank as we were in attic.
Nothing was too much trouble
Too many stairs
The staff were very nice, the breakfast was enjoyable. The beds were comfortable.
Lovely staff, excellent breakfast.
Next door hotel a bit noisy.
The view from the bedroom, and the decor of the room. TV in room. Variety of breakfast menu with option to have either or both continental and English breakfast.
Dirty balcony. Bathroom far from the bedroom (on different floor) and had to be shared between a number of other guests. Toilet was located in shared bathroom so couldn't use it if other guests were in the shower. Loud music during breakfast which was located in the bar.
The owner was helpful but didn't see any other of the staff.
Matresses kept sliding off the beds, disturbed sleep through running water from other rooms down the pipes through the levels.
Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast excellent cooked fresh to order. Lovely guest house would definitely go back again
the food was excellent and Helen and Simon were excellent hosts. The location was spot on. The guest house was very clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone and I will be returning
