Everything under one roof on a cold snowy night; pre-supper drink and then tasty food.
Loved the full English breakfast, good beer and great dinner menu. Our visit was just after Xmas and the snow was very pretty. Very close to Tissington trail
Location is amazing, the hotel is very good. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are great, There is a nice pub downstairs with some games and a dart board.
Food wasn't the best
Fresh air, walks and cycle rides down the Manifold Valley, cosy pubs, roaring fires, great food, friendly staff!
it was over too quickly
Cosy atmosphere good reasonably priced food friendly staff amazing location excellent room good ameneties value for money
Really comfortable family room, friendly atmosphere, excellent food.
Nice food, friendly staff and generally VFM, we have stayed at a cottage the area and Camp site previously so knew whati expect.
There was no attempt to clear a path from he accomodation to the pub, it was extremely treacherous and someone could have been injured. Our bathroom had no heating so we had to leave the bathroom door open to ensure warmth.
The location was great, very picturesque. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Staff very friendly and helpful. Delicious food. Would definitely recommend it and stop here again.
Not enough staff on the shift when we arrived, so delay in getting keys to our accommodation.
It was quiet and peaceful in a pleasant location. the food was good and the rooms clean and nicely decorated. all in all a good place to stay for a quiet weekend.
Good evening meal & breakfast
A little noisy in the room could benefit from better insulation.
Amazing staff who even drove us into Hartington when we couldn't get a taxi. Thank you Sharon, it was above & beyond. Excellent waiter at breakfast & v smiley cleaner in hotel
Food excellent and staff very polite. Lovely decor
Matress a bit soft so didn't sleep too well. Shower hot or cold - needs adjusting
Nice place to stay, good food, comfortable accomodation with separate sitting/ bedroom for kids, and lovely and quiet.
Being a mile out of Hartington village.
Very friendly welcoming staff, cosy cottage and great breakfast!
Very minor point - a rather noisy air vent somewhere on the main building which went thoughout the night.
We had a lovely stay, ideal setting beautiful unit. 2 bathrooms, comfortable beds.
Everything was great, no complaints
Free wi-fi. Lovely restaurant. Location. Friendly staff. Excellent room (we had the suite which was a little more expensive but well worth it).
The location was superb and the suite of rooms was first class. the food was excellent
The reception is not always manned at mealtimes and sometimes this means a wait checking in
Excellent food and beer Nice dining room Helpful and friendly staff Good pub atmosphere Good location
Room decor a little tired Sometimes cannot get anyone to answer the phone Would be nice to have a shed to lock away bikes. Availability of a budget house wine
Great Location, with comfortable accomodation and hearty food well served by friendly staff, not to be missed.
Nothing...but wifi is a little intermittent and Mobile phone signal is poor.
Relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff, very good food at evening meal and the full english breakfast, good selection at breakfast. Nice room,Good bed.
The modern type shower taps, same on the sink ! Trendy but not practical !
My Wife & I are of an age, and we made to feel very welcolm. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the Food was good. We would reccomend this Inn for a holiday in very beautiful country side.
dirty carpet inadequate shower no shaving point no chairs in bedroom
Staff were very helpful setting my phone up with wifi, down side is no phone signal but wifi made up for that.. Food was great and both children were happy with the meals. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the area. We went to Alton towers the next day it took 20 mins from hotel which was ideal.
The cottage was lovely, had everything we needed for a three night stay and probably longer. We chose it as it was close to Alton towers. The staff were welcoming and the food was lovely. Our boys enjoyed it and slept as well as if they were in their own beds, so overall, couldn't fault it!
We arrived a bit late, due to finishing work, so didn't get there until 9.30pmish, had to walk into the busy pub to check in, and were shown quickly to the cottage. If we'd arrived during the day, we may have been given a bit more time? Not to much of a problem though overall!
There was a good selection on the menu. The room was in a quiet location and was well appointed with all amenities.
