Friendly staff, different areas of seating inside and out . Buffet Breakfast needs a bit of attention, small spoons and plates were not available. Also bedroom doors need small handles onto close rather than letting slam shut as annoying when other people arriving leaving

The individuality and attention to detail of an independent hotel rather than the bland, duplicated chains. Luxurious accommodation and superb value for money. Breakfast waiting staff hard to find when we wanted more coffee.

We stayed in one of the superior suites after attending a wedding at Parley Manor and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever experienced. We had a fabulous nights sleep. Good value for money with a full English breakfast included and cheaper overall than the premier inn nearby. The only things I can say to be picky is that the tray that the tea and coffee facilities were shabby and did not compliment the luxury of the room and in the bathroom the rough wood on the sides of the sink unfortunately made the marble bathroom less classy.

The breakfast was good. The rooms are pleasant and comfortably furnished and the staff on the ground try everything to be helpful (See 'What didn't you like'). The faulty plumbing was a problem that the Manor did not seem to have the ability to get fixed. We were moved from the original room where the sink couldn't be emptied, to one where the shower didn't work then back to the one where the sink was supposed to have been fixed. It wasn't fixed though; it did let the water out of the sink bowl now, but onto the floor. The 'plumber' had another try whilst we were out because on the previous occasion, 'the silicone hadn't had time to set'. You could certainly see the silicone after the second try, smeared around the chrome of the plug hole. This time 'it had had time to set'. Maybe so, but it can't have been put in the right place. The sink still emptied onto the floor, but not so much. What the Manor needs is to set themselves and their visitors free from the incompetence of the current so-called "plumber" and get access to a qualified tradesman. When he/she arrives, she could fix the towel rail more firmly to the wall as well as correcting the poor job done on the sink and fixing the broken shower in the other bedroom. It beats me how the Manor got all its certificates and high gradings from the AA etc, 2012 and 2013, if an incompetent "plumber" is effectively stabbing them in the back with poor work whilst everything else is fine and the rest of the staff are working their socks off (this is not a criticism of the Manor, but the certificate awarders' failure to pick up on weaknesses). We were granted a free night because of the inconvenience, but that's not the point. The Manor is being let down and/or letting itself be let down. It would be a great stay if everything worked reasonably well.

Good shower, comfortable bed. I felt there were a few issues that really let the hotel down. No one at reception on arrival or leaving, no help with bags or information about hotel. Some maintenance issues let the hotel down, eg. A strobing light in the corridor, curtain tie backs held with safety pins, bathroom lacked light.

Nice modern decorated rooms. Comfortable beds. Free Wifi. Clean modern bathroom. Good breakfast. If staying on the 1st floor (above restaurant area) you constantly hear a door downstairs bang as it shuts, can be quite irritating!

We got a really good discount through Booking.com which made this a real treat for our first valentines day together. We were spoilt with free champers on arrival & a rose with dinner!! The room wasn't huge, but was lovely, the bed was sooooo comfortable!! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and accommodating! The kitchen and food was also amazing. They were really lovely and helpful making sure my vegetarian boyfriend had something which he really enjoyed! We had such a wonderful stay and would totally go back again! There was a few little things in the room that were a little broken, like the shower screen door, bathroom lock and the cupboard but it kinda added to the quirky charm of the place and wasn't enough to taint the stay. If you were looking for something to moan about you could have moaned, but why would you when everything else was so wonderful!

The hotel staff were very friendly and did all they could to make our stay a good one. The rooms were clean and and very comfortable and we had plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and large. My only critisim would be that the bedroom was a little too hot for me and it was hard to cool it down.

Received a very warm reception upon arrival. Very courteous staff. Room was amazing and bed was so comfortable and the shower was great. Lovely views and lovely food and amazing breakfast. Would definitely return. Unfortunately the room was very very cold which I was told that the boiler had only just been fixed so was not down to the hotel's fault. It did spoil our stay a bit as was so cold and spent the whole time in the room in the bed under the covers.

The bedroom was spacious and extremely comfortable, lovely view from the window. Being able to open the window was a bonus as a lot of heat came from the bathroom. Excellent shower. Breakfast was good quality and the staff very pleasant This is really nitpicking. The fans in the dining room made it feel pretty chilly, even though we asked to sit in a warm part of the restaurant but the food made up for it, especially the clam chowder!

Lovely, enthusiastic and attentive staff. Superb steak My bed was very comfortable Unable to use shower as temperature control not working (too hot). Full English breakfast AWFUL, almost certainly cooked the night before and reheated !! and only a pound cheaper than the awful continental breakfast, very poor selection.
