I felt the staff were very welcoming, especially the Hotel manager Nick who very kindly looked after us while enjoying a social drink in the bar. Also, shower was perfect, will highly recommend to friends and family
Lovely room and breakfast
Floor upstairs creaked & could hear people walking about in the nightc
The hotel was stunning and the staff were lovely. Couldn't access the internet upstairs but our room was close enough to the bar we were able to connect to that. Had difficulty finding the hotel due to the road closures. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family.
Lovely room, friendly staff
Freezing cold bedroom food not good
I didn't like being charged for a room, that had been cancelled . I'm still waiting for a refund . not impressed at all.
The room was very pleasant the bed very comfortable.
We liked 1.the room price including a continental breakfast. 2. Free wifi 3. high quality fittings 4.Friendly and helpful staff
Our room was a bit noisy, as we were above the bar area at the back of the property, we have stayed at the front before and the noise was fine. Unfortunately like before this property is let down by the cleaning staff.
Very helpful staff,food lovely,room beautiful,nice stay
Loved the room and the welcome felt right at home and the food was amazing
Twin bed pushed together kept splitting and couldn't connect to the wifi which was fine as we wanted a quiet night away
Lovely room, good food, pleasant staff throughout. Great location.
The hotel staff were very efficient & friendly, but could do nothing about our problems.
The noise from the banging front door was terrible. The music from below was loud & went on until midnight, so a poor night's sleep. The toast appeared to be cheap sliced bread, not something you would expect from a four star hotel & packaged jam & marmalade is more suited to a seaside B&B.
The restaurant/bar food, friendly staff and area. Lovely food in a lovely setting.
Room not that warm. Our room was above the kitchen and quite noisey until about 10.30pm from slamming doors, banging and loud voices from the kitchen.
The cleanliness and warmth of the room as it was extremely cold outside.
I was very disappointed that there were no decaffinated tea bags as I cannot have caffeine. Nobody offered to get any. As I was staying for two days I had to find a shop to buy some.
Very comfy beds, friendly and efficient staff.
The Wi-Fi was ridiculously slow, the room and restaurant were really very cold, noisy door banging throughout the entire stay.
Food and service at the restaurant
Room delightful, staff friendly and food and service excellent
Booked a double room but was given a twin, when I questioned this I was told that all doubles had been booked direct! The room (genius) had a hole in the window which in January is not fun and the heating had been left off, 5 star, maybe once but definitely not now! The food is good but to be asked at 8.30pm if I'm having anymore draught beer as they were about to clean the pipes I found bad as I wasn't the only person there.
I loved everything about the manor food was lovely and staff catered for my fussy eating habits and adapted the menu to suit me very happy
The food hygiene standard is only 3 which is just acceptable. The kitchen is visible and looked dirty with lots of people without the necessary clothing standard. The bathroom was dirty!!! This is definitely not a 5 star property. The wifi does not work, and the staff really are not very helpful. AWFUL PLACE
We had a very enjoyable stay, staff were helpful and food was good. The accommodation was superb! Would highly recommend.
For what we needed it was exactly in the right place. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I didn't like the stairs, I couldn't see the edge of the stair so was unsure of my footing. I think the bathroom needed a little help ie if the door had been fitted to open out it would have helped, it didn't even close unless it was slammed shut, there was nowhere to put anything ie the shower, the floor of the bathroom needed a good clean or even needed replacing. The bed was uncomfortable which is putting it mildly, didn't get to sleep until 5.00am! Definatly won't be returning.
Location Very comfy bed Friendly staff Lots of parking
Breakfast has gone down hill. Continental only on offer - and even had to ask for toast.
Location quiet Staff friendly Meal from Xmas menu was good
no bulbs in bedside lights, so overall lighting poor for reading. Need a warning on bathroom door re step down. Compared to other continental breakfasts at other hotels choice was very limited.
The room, staff and the food were amazing it was a shame we didn't stay longer . Great location and the caverey looked amazing :) will be staying again
