Upon arrival the staff were extremely welcoming. The owner, Ken couldn't have been more helpful to us. We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and there was a vast choice of food and it was good! The family room was big and a great size for a family of four people.

I chose this Hotel as it had a family room at a reasonable price for the holiday weekend. The room was ideal - a four poster king size double, 3 single beds, 3 piece suit, large screen digital TV but there was still loads of room and the en-suite was large too. We found the staff all very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night and the food was delicious and very popular with people living in the local area. Although we didn't have an issue, I do feel that the rules around having to pay if you want to return to the hotel after midnight exorbitant. I feel that arrangements could be made with the hotel managers to have a key to get in the main door. I understand that they have two bar areas, however I think that it would be acceptable for these doors to be locked so residents could only access the bedrooms on the first floor.

Guests must be in the hotel by 11.30pm on weeknights and 1am on a Friday and Saturday. Guests must inform staff if they will be later than 1am and are subject to a £10 per hour surcharge or subject to a charge of £25 without notification. Hotel needs to be updated in the dining area.

We only stayed for one night as a stop over during a long drive home but thoroughly enjoyed my stay. We ate at the restaurant for our evening meal - delicious and the management were very friendly. Would recommend to friends and family.
