Lovely location and great view. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Sure the leisure facilities were great but we didn't use them. The bar and dining areas were lovely.

Having paid for a luxury room, the room was a bit of a disappointment. It was big but décor was old and shabby and looked out of place in the newer part of the hotel - certainly not luxury. Also though the view was great it was right above the bar which meant people outside our window until about 3.30am!

The recently refurbished pool and the really comfortable lounge area's.

Feather duvets and pillows (allergies!) and the fact there is not a sheet between me and the duvet. I like to be able to turn the duvet down if I get too hot but still have something to cover me.

Staff, location and food were all very good.

Booking months in advance for a double room means nothing to this hotel as they will downgrade you to a single without a second thought or even the curtiousy of telling you. Also never go through wedding season if you are looking for a quiet night!

Breakfast was good but only if you are 6 foot tall as the dining area seats are way too low and sag in the middle

Double bed isn't a double its 2 singles pushed together. The bathroom was very dirty. The bedroom felt grubby and old

    Location and view fantastic

Rooms at back of property poor with view of stair and wall. Ask for room at front when booking. Very disappointing.

Lovely quite location. Nice old maintained building and a good breakfast. Shame didn't have time to use leisure facilities they look very good including the pool.

Post Code on a Tom Tom takes you up a narrow lane that gets narrower as you go further up to a gated farm entrance.

Staff were friendly and the menu despite being limited was of a high standard.

The FACT that I had booked a double room only to find when I got there that I had been put in a twin room.

Good sized rooms, very clean and comfortable with excellent view over the Brecon Beacons. Food was excellent despite the fact the menu was limited due to some issues in the kitchen. Really pleasant staff throughout the Hotel.

Only negative was that the rooms were very warm on a night, but that is not untypical of a lot of hotels. Menu was restricted to grills and a few starters, but the mixed grill and mussels were both excellent.

    Friendly staff, great faculties

Had a back room so not much of a view. Also pump or heater noise from pool/gym area comes on at 7.

large room, although fixtures and fittings from the 40s, not to every bodies taste I would think. Staff were fabulous, very attentive and helpful at all times. Food good. Would certainly use this hotel again.

Wood draws hard to use, wardrobe unstable. Bath I think would be better with show curtain instead of glass screen. Hot water system played up a couple of times, not something I would really complain about.

Great location and central for Brecon and Crickhowell, food was good and staff very helpful and friendly.

Badly kept bar (real ale was sour and glasses dirty), poorly maintained bathroom and shower facility, old hotel with a feeling of being tired.

    The breakfast was excellent.

The quality of the deluxe bedroom(15) was disappointing. I do not believe that it was worth the extra money over that of a standard room.

Plenty of comfortable chairs. Beautiful views. Very helpful staff who were not "in your face" Inventive breakfast menu. Felinfoel beer. The hotel's pet cat. Gideon Bible.

    Bedroom somewhat too warm.
